FreScOFresco is a smooth and even 3-ply sport weight yarn. The plies are twisted together tightly enough to make a firm, springy yarn, but not so tightly that the yarn loses its lofty, soft hand.

Pattern StitcheSKnitted Cast On Method: *Insert RH needle knitwise into first st of LH needle, wrap the yarn around the needle and pull through as to make a knit st, leave the first st on LH needle and slip st just made to LH needle (1 st CO); rep from * to required number of sts.

Three Needle Bind Off Method: Slip the sts from holders onto each of 2 needles; with the RS of garment pcs together (to form ridge on inside of garment), hold the needles parallel. With a third needle knit the first st of front and back needles together, *knit next st from each needle together, (2 sts on RH needle), BO 1 st; rep from * until all sts are BO.

I-Cord: Using 2 dpns, *knit 1 row; without turning the work, slide the sts to RH end of needle, pull yarn tightly from the end of the row, (behind the sts); rep from * until cord meas desired length.

bOdYWith 32" circular needle and MC, work Picot CO as follows: beg with a slip st on needle, *use Knitted Method to CO 7 sts, k2tog, k1, pass second st on RH needle over first st, sl the rem st on RH back to LH needle; rep from * until there are 220 (240, 260, 300, 320, 340) sts; 44 (48, 52, 60, 64, 68) picots.

Dec Row: (RS) *K2tog, p1, k1, p1; rep from * to end – 176 (192, 208, 240, 256, 272) sts rem. Do not turn; join to beg working in-the-rnd, being careful not to twist sts. Place marker (pm) for beg-of-rnd (BOR).

Begin Circular 1 x 1 Rib; work 3 rnds even.

Change to St st; work even until pc meas 4 (4¼, 4½, 4¾, 5, 6)" from beg.

Dec Rnd: Dec 6 (10, 10, 20, 14, 8) sts evenly around as follows: K29 (19, 26, 10, 20, 32), k2tog, *k27 (17, 18, 10, 16, 32), k2tog; rep from * 4 (8, 8, 18, 12, 6) more times – 170 (182, 198, 220, 242, 264) sts rem.

Drawstring Casing: Purl 1 rnd. Cut waste yarn approx 34 (36, 40, 46, 48, 52)" in length. Thread waste yarn through every st on needle. Being careful not to knit into waste yarn, knit 1 rnd. Remove BOR marker; turn to beg working back and forth in rows in St st: (WS) work 4 rows, ending after a RS row. (WS) Knit 1 row. (RS) Knit 1 row. Keep all sts on needle. Break yarn. With second 32" circular needle, MC and WS facing, slip needle through all sts following the waste yarn, turn to beg working with RS facing. Join to beg working in-the-rnd.

Begin St st; work 6 rnds even.

Joining Rnd: With RS of second needle behind first needle, facing WS of first needle, knit 1 rnd working 1 st from each needle together – 170 (182, 198, 220, 242, 264) sts. Join to cont working in-the-rnd; pm for BOR.

Cont in St st; work even until pc meas 12 (12¾, 13, 13¼, 13½, 14½)" from beg.

Divide for Sleeves: Work 3 sts, slip the previously worked 6 sts onto st holder or waste yarn for left underarm, removing marker, work 85 (91, 99, 110, 121, 132) sts for front, slip the previously worked 6 sts to st holder or waste yarn for left underarm, work to end for back – 79 (85, 93, 104, 115, 126) sts rem each front and back.
