FIRST FLOOR

The first floor would be our second floor. In our farmhouse that we choose only has a couple of rooms like the attic room, shower room, and the mezzanine.

La Cuisine• This is the Kitchen

• They have all the same appliances as we would.

• Like a stove, a fridge, a microwave, and a coffee pot.

La Chambre• The bedroom

• They are different from Americans’ bedrooms.

• The French bedroom doesn’t have a television or a closet

• Instead of a closet they have La commode which is a chest of drawers or like a dresser.

• But other than those two different things that are pretty much the same as ours

• They have posters, desks, a bed and a lamp

Le Salon • This is the living room or the

lounge

• This room is the same as ours would be

• They have a couch, lamps, a television, a coffee table.

• Family time is spent here.

• This is one of the few rooms in the house that usually have carpet.

La Salle De Bains• The bathroom

• This is very different from ours because the French don’t have a toilet in there bathroom

• It consists of a shower, sink or tub.

• The toilet has a different room in the house to itself

• Sometimes there is a sink in there.
