Qu’on les aime ou qu’ils nous agacent, nos amis à poils et à plumes n’ont pas moins le droit de vivre
en ville. Rien n’est trop beau pour nos chers compagnons et voici quelques exemples.
Le violoncelliste américain David Teie a composé, après deux ans de recherche sur les sons et les
mélodies, une œuvre pour les chats. L’orchestre national a interprété cette musique « apaisante et
relaxante » pour les félins qui devraient miauler de plaisir! Pourquoi donc ne pas offrir un CD à son
chat?
Les chiens ont eux aussi le droit de prendre quelques jours de vacances. A Paris, il y a un hôtel canin
qui accueille courtes et longues pattes dans de vraies chambres douillettes à partir de trente-huit euros
la nuit. Pendant la journée, des promenades sont organisées dans les bois. Une équipe prend en
considération les besoins de chacun et crée des groupes selon l’âge et l’état de santé de chaque
chien.
Les hôtels cinq étoiles de la capitale sont à leur tour prêts à garantir le bien-être de leurs clients, quatre
pattes inclus. Ainsi, un hôtel célèbre, non content de gâter ses deux chats qui déambulent dans les
couloirs, propose-t-il un kit de bienvenue pour les chiens de ses hôtes, contenant une bouteille d’eau
minérale, des friandises en forme d’os et un tapis brodé au nom de l’animal.

Promenade à vélo le long de la Loire

Ce n’est pas par hasard que de nombreux rois ont choisi les rives de ce fleuve pour y bâtir leurs
châteaux : Léonard de Vinci a, lui aussi, séjourné sur les bords de la Loire à la demande du roi François
1er.
Le long du fleuve, il y a une piste cyclable de plus de neuf cents kilomètres de long qui va de sa source
à son embouchure, sur l’océan Atlantique.
Bien sûr, mon copain et moi n’avons pas fait tout le parcours, mais seulement une quinzaine de
kilomètres.
La Loire n’est pas navigable, car elle est trop dangereuse. Il y a beaucoup de bancs de sable et de
courants, ce qui en fait le repaire idéal de nombreux oiseaux et d’animaux de rivière. C’est aussi le
paradis des pêcheurs.
Cette fois-ci, nous avons eu une très bonne surprise. Nous étions à la fin du mois d’août, ce qui
correspond à la période de migration des canards sauvages. Ils quittent le nord de l’Europe et traversent
la France pour rejoindre les régions plus chaudes du sud.
Pendant notre balade, des centaines d’oiseaux ont volé au-dessus de nous, par vagues successives en
formant un V caractéristique. On aurait dit la parade aérienne du 14 juillet! Quel spectacle inattendu et
magnifique!

« Je suis arrivé en France de la République du Congo à l’âge de deux ans, explique-t-il dans sa
biographie, parue en 2015. Mon père était chanteur dans un groupe, une vedette en Afrique. Mais en
France, il n’a pas connu le succès. Mes parents étaient au chômage ou faisaient de petits boulots pour
survivre. »
« Mon enfance n’a pas été simple. Parfois, je passais des nuits dans la rue, et là on voit toutes sortes de
choses et j’ai failli tomber dans la drogue et la violence. Mais je suis resté rêveur ». Musique, dessin,
écriture : voilà ce qui l’a sauvé.
A vingt-deux ans, il connaît le succès en tant que leader d’un groupe de rap dont les membres se sont
rencontrés au collège. Trois ans plus tard, son premier album solo Subliminal est double disque de
diamant.
Marié très jeune, père de famille, le chanteur s’est converti à l’Islam en 2004 comme sa femme. Il a
arrêté de boire de l’alcool; il ne fume plus.
S’il a vécu une enfance particulièrement difficile, Maître Gims est heureux de pouvoir offrir une autre vie
à ses quatre enfants. Cependant, le chanteur se défend de leur offrir absolument tout. « Mes enfants ne
sont pas habillés en Gucci ou Prada et portent souvent des vêtements achetés au marché. L’humilité est
une des qualités auxquelles j’accorde le plus de prix. »
