Although agriculture plays a key part in the local economy, it is largely ignored. Conservation programs and responsible management will ensure the land, soil, and water will be available for many generations to come. Fremont River Conservation District was organized in 1942, to provide assistance to farmers, landowners, and others to conserve the soil and related natural resources. Our Mission: Develop and implement programs to protect, conserve, utilize, and develop the soil, water, and natural resource of the state. District Supervisors: Kerry Cook - Loa Mack Morrell – Bicknell Dean Chappell – Lyman Dwight Brinkerhoff – Bicknell Richard Fillmore - Fremont Main Programs: ARDL – Agriculture Resource Development Loan. Low interest loans for landowners to improve conservation. Rural Rehabilitation – Long term financing for rural businesses or beginning farmers. ACES – Agriculture Certificate of Environmental Stewardship. Water Quality – Partnership with the DEQ to coordinate & protect Utah’s watersheds. Zone Office – Assist elected supervisors on technical, educational, and conservation programs & practices. Get Involved:
