MARKET WRAP
CHANA
Chana futures strengthened due to improved buying at lower levels and firm
quotes of other pulses in the domestic market.
Improved acreage towards other pulses and therefore improved production
due to adequate rainfall in the food belt of India will limit the gains.
TURMERIC.
Better arrivals at the domestic mandi coupled with lackluster demand are
keeping the prices bearish
The expected higher production in the current kharif season continued to the
hurt the turmeric futures.
Stockiest buying is lower as they are expecting some more fall in the prices.
JEERA
Dull demand from the overseas and domestic buyers will keep jeera prices
range bound with negative bias in the short term
Favorable monsoon rains is expected to improve the sowing as well as
acreage of cultivation of jeera.
PEPPER
Pepper prices will depend on global Black pepper availability and demand
from the overseas and domestic market.
The Indian pepper prices remained higher in the global market as compared
to Brazil and Vietnam.
