November 22 - 23, 2018

In 2018 our traditional „Frankfurt Meeting“ as one of the topworld meeting on the surgical and endoscopical treatment ofobesity and metabolic disorders will once again be held herein our metropolitan city of Frankfurt, Germany!

Today we can proudly reflect on 20 years of science presenta-tion and obesity expertise under the leadership of my fatheras president who first initiated the Frankfurt Meeting in 1998.My father and I have worked and pushed hard to establishwhat started as a local event to be recognized among the topmedical meeting on the subject of obesity to this day.

Over the past 20 years we were very happy to have always wel-comed and presented to you the world`s top experts on thesubject of obesity treatment and also for the tradition of livesurgery which we are especially proud of.

But as our event grew to it`s international importance oftoday, we have always emphasized a familiar conduct, perso-nal relations and mutual understanding as the very spirit ofthe Frankfurt Meeting and the key to it`s success.

2018 will see my first presidency of the Frankfurt Meeting insuccession of my father who will for his first time attend themeeting as an expert and honorary president. Together we willagain do our utmost to ensure a high quality meeting on obe-sity science and live surgery.

Following the tremendoussuccess of the past ObesityDays as a joint meeting ofmedicine and surgery wenow want to return to ourroots and lay our emphasisa new on surgery alone.

As in 2016 our meetingwill again be held at thefacilities of Kap Europaand also with the supportof our well establishedpartners of Event lab.

Again we hope to be able to present to you high quality scien-tific sessions, live surgery, suturing tutorials and also closedcomprehensive lessons covering all aspects of obesity treat-ment for beginners and the advanced care providers.

Together with IFSO and German surgical associations (DGACand BDC) we will do everything to ensure a high level meetingfor all of you from all over the world.

We look forward to welcoming you all again as guests to ourwell established, traditional meeting at the heard of the Rhein-Main area in the metropolitan City of Frankfurt on the main river.
