Diary Welcome to Week 10 of Term 4. Only 6 school days to go for our kids.

I have been busily reading reports this week so a very short newsletter!

Don’t forget the Valla Carols this Friday. There has been a note sent home to

all the singers. Mrs Daley will be on deck with the Choir, singing 2 carols. The

night kicks off on Friday at 7:00pm.

We have been busy rehearsing for our Presentation Day today. I hope to see

all of our parents and wider school community in attendance as we cele-

brate the achievements of all of our wonderful students. I wish we could

give each and every one of them an award but that is just not possible. I

would like to take this opportunity to invite any members of our wider

school community to attend. It is a wonderful morning and we would love to

share it with all past and present stake holders of our school.

Our infant students are super excited about Thursday. They will be heading

off to the Big Banana for their end of year excursion. All of our students will

be participating and this is a great reward for all of their efforts throughout

the year.

I do apologise for the short report this week.

morning at 9:30am.

We are calling on talented students to perform in our X Factor contest in our school on Monday 16th

December. These performances must be well rehearsed and well presented! If you are interested please

see Mrs Daley as soon as possible.

EMILY AND THE BIG BAD BUNYIP

2B had a great lesson last Thursday via Connected Class-

rooms. The class had a video conference with 5 other

schools in NSW. They read the book Emily & the Big Bad

Bunyip, then they got crafty and did screen printing. They

also made Christmas decorations.

Kindergarten will be having the same lesson next week.

ASSEMBLY PERFORMANCE

5/6M and 3/4F put on an awesome per-

formance at Assembly on Monday. The

kids sang and danced to ‘Wake Me Up’. It

is great to see such talented students

having a great time at school!

PRESENTATION DAY

This Wednesday we will be recognising student achievements at our Presentation Day. Students need to

be dressed in full school uniform. Parents are invited to come along and help us celebrate the wonderful

things our students have done over the year.

“WHERE EVERYONE GETS A GAME”

VALLA BEACH COMMUNITY CARoLS

FRIDAY, 13TH DECEMBER 6.00-9.00 pm

VALLA BEACH RESERVE (Lions’ Park)

The Valla Beach Community Association invites you to come along

and embrace the Christmas spirit by joining with your family, neighbours

and the wider community in community carol singing. This event

will take place from 6.00 to 9.00 pm on Friday, 13th December at the Valla Beach Reserve

(Lions’ Park). We encourage you and your family and friends to come along at 6.00 pm

with your picnic blanket and/or folding chairs and a picnic tea or you can purchase hot

food and ice-cream from the various food vendors who will be in attendance.

Carols will commence at 7.00pm. You will be invited to join in a time of community carol

singing as well as enjoying some light entertainment. The carols will be led by the

Bowraville Theatre Singers and the Nambucca Valley Brass Band. Santa will make an

appearance during the course of the evening!

Glo-Candles and Glo-Sticks will be available for purchase at the event and song sheets

will be provided.

Make this a date in your diary to get you off to a good start for a great

Christmas season.
