Conference TourSaturday, Sept. 16This all-day tour travels to upstate New York and Con-necticut for a tour of at least five sites, including the Wright-designed Roland Reisley House (1951) and other houses in the Wright-planned community of Usonia, the Maximilian Hoffman House (1955), and other sites to be announced. The day concludes with a tour and dinner reception at Grace Farms. Located on an 80-acre nature preserve in New Canaan, this graceful, sinuous com-munity center was designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa of SANAA and received an AIA Honor Award in 2017. Included in general registration fee. Tour departs 9 a.m. from the Omni and Empire hotels and returns approx. 9:30 p.m. Lunch, dinner and transportation provided.

Pre-Conference Tour Wednesday, Sept. 13Experience Philip Johnson’s Glass House (1949), regarded as one of the nation’s great modern architectural landmarks, on a private two-hour tour of the 49-acre site in New Canaan, Con-

necticut (with a three-quarter mile walk on paths and grass). In addition to Johnson’s iconic resi-dence, the tour visits galleries Johnson designed throughout his career to house his collection of large-scale modern paintings and sculpture, with works by Frank Stella, Andy Warhol, Julian Schnabel and more on view. At least one addi-tional site will be included on this tour (to be an-nounced). Tickets $150. Tour departs 9 a.m. from the Omni and Empire hotels and returns approx. 4 p.m. Lunch and transportation provided.

Curator-Led Tour of Frank Lloyd Wright at 150: Unpacking the Archive at MoMAFriday, Sept. 15Following the finalsymposium session,

conference attendees will have a timed entry to MoMA’s major new Wright exhibition guided by the curatorial team, including Department of Architecture and Design Curator Barry Bergdoll. The exhibit comprises some 450 works from the 1890s through the 1950s, including drawings, models, building fragments, furniture, scrapbooks and a number of works that have never been publicly exhibited. Full museum admission included Friday only.

Conservancy Benefit: An Evening at the Guggenheim Friday, Sept. 15Experience a Wright masterpiece after hours during a special event at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. The evening begins in the Wright-designed auditorium with a presentation by Neil Levine, chair of the Rethinking Frank Lloyd Wright at 150 symposium, on the history of

Wright’s archive moving to New York. Then the 2017 Wright Spirit Awards will be presented to Barry Bergdoll, Janet Parks and Carole Ann Fa-bian for their roles in establishing the archives in New York. Afterward, enjoy dinner and drinks in the magnificent Rotunda. Note: Due to the installation of a new exhibit, museum ramps will be closed. Select floors will be acces-sible by elevator. Tickets $250. Attendance is limited. No transportation provided.
