-France is an industrial country-They depend on their output of livestock and agriculture more then most industrial countries.- There most grown crops are wheat, sugar beets, corn, barley, and potatoes.- France's industries produce machinery, chemicals, automobiles, metals, aircrafts, electronic equipment, textiles, and food.-Also advanced technology industries make coal, iron, bauxite, and others.-Nuclear energy powers 75% of all electricity in France.  ("France" France economics: 21 March, 2011.  http://www.infoplease.com/ce6/world/A0858212.html)   

Major Events In History

-French Revolution: Started 1789, ended late1790's when Napoleon came to power. French completely redesigned country's political system. Destroyed  institutions like Absolute Monarchy and the feudal system. ("French Revolution"History.com: Topics)

-Second Republic: In 1848, France wanted another political reform so it protested against its king. The King decided to leave the country which left it open for Louis-Napoleon Bonaparte who made France a Republic. (Wilde, Robert) -Declaration of Fifth Republic: In 1959, a WWII hero named Charles de Gaulle drove a new constitution that gave the president more power. De Gaulle became the 1st president of France's current government. (Wilde, Robert)
