NxClient detailed description

NxClient relies on a patent filed software architecture, where there are two main components, the NxMonitor application and the NxFilter driver

NxFilter acts as a kernel level driver, between the dashboard and the device

This unique approach enables solving the problem with the modem/dashboard communication Dashboard has exclusive access to ports: our

architecture solves this issue Possibility to use the modem in Diagnostics mode to

collect QoE parameters/KPIs No impact to normal usability of the modem Limit the usage of RAM and CPU in end user’s

equipment

A unique patent pending design enabling true transparent monitoring

Why NxDroid?

Drive testing tools provide a technical measurement of specific routes, but don’t give insight about the smartphone end user perceived quality

Network probes or similar approaches collect high volume of traces but real time analysis on end user reported problems is usually complex

Need to obtain real coverage maps – as perceived by your subscribers

The above methods cannot locate end user experienced events that impact their QoE, such as a drop call, a PDP drop or a no coverage situation which would disable data connectivity

Android will own a 50% smartphone market share by 2012*

Fastest growing smartphone platform (rised from 3,5% to 25,5% share in one year, 3Q 2009 to 3Q 2010)

NxWire Swiss Mobility Solutions’ product for fixed broadband performance testing

Relying on the NxServer/NxWeb platform

Supports both manual and remote test scheduling

Support of Ping, FTP DL, FTP UL, HTTP Put, HTTP Get, Web Browsing (with real

browser launch and measuring download time) and Full Working Order tasks

Logging of IP Trace, IP.pcap file

NxWire client can be used for general fixed broadband active testing (Ethernet, Wi-Fi,

DSL modems, etc)

NxWire client needs an easy initial previous configuration upon installation, taking some

seconds, to identify a probe (this identification will be then used for registration in

NxServer)

NxWire is an active testing product aimed for engineering use, not supporting passive

monitoring transparent to end users’ operations
