Best Practices
While connecting the AC or DC cables into the FPRA system, make sure the power switches are at the OFF positionAll cables have to pass the cable glands via their indicated holes before connecting into the systemWhile inserting the cable from the front panel, be careful not to destroy the waterproofAll the screws must be tightened using proper screwdrivers with appointed torques Note the AC terminal block configuration for different AC mains typesThe battery/load breaker switch lever bar and the corresponding clamp short link should be removed when supporting different battery/load. After finishing the AC or DC cables connection, user is recommended to test at the cable inputs to ensure no short exists
94 © Nokia Siemens Networks FPRA & Site Star Installation PERU / David Torres/ June, 2010For internal use
Best Practices
While commissioning with a battery input, make sure the battery voltage is over 43Vdc before connecting to the systemWhile removing the PDA from the case, the AC mains must be switched off, but battery could also be on to power the systemBefore install a OVP to the system, the AC mains must be switched offThe IP rating (IP54) is no longer guaranteed while connecting the Ethernet cable
