O Mary, you shine con nuously on our journey as a sign of salva on and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you par cipated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salva on of the Roman People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feas ng might return a er this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to

the joy of the Resurrec on. Amen. We seek refuge under your protec on, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.

Virgin Mary, Immaculate Mother of Divine Providence, protect our life and sanc fy us with the gi of grace. Obtain for us from the Father of mercy and the God of consola on pardon for our sins, reconcilia on with our brothers and sisters, and comfort in the midst of afflic ons. Renew our hearts that they may become worthy dwelling places of your Divine Son, Jesus. We entrust ourselves to you, O Mary, in our pilgrimage in this world. O Mother of Divine Providence, turn your eyes toward us, you who are our hope on earth. Grant that we may have you as our Mother in the glory of heaven. Amen.

Graciously restore those to health who have fallen ill and grant us the grace to acknowledge your holy will for you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, One God, for ever and ever Amen.

Message of Bishop Thomas Tobin regarding the suspension of Public Masses in the Diocese

In light of the growing coronavirus crisis in Rhode Island, in response to the request of public officials, and upon the recommendation of health experts, I hereby direct that the cele-

bration of all public Masses and other liturgical services be suspended in the Diocese effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020 until further notice. This is an exceedingly difficult and painful decision, but it is necessitated by our commitment to promote the health and well-being of our brothers and sisters, especially the frail and the elderly. That is a moral priority we should all share. May we continue to pray for and support one another in these very trying times, and through the intercession of Saint Patrick, Saint Joseph and Our Lady of Providence, may God be with us.
