SAMURI SERIESBK RUNNING BLADE ADAPTER COMPONENTRY

These components connect a socket and running blade (KATANA) for BK prosthesis. This unique feature is designed to enable prosthetists to adjust the alignment easily using Hex wrenches as you do for normal prostheses. The adaptor is attached on the back of the socket, so that you can put this on the user who may have clearance issues.

SP0200 Anchor A lamination lock is set at the rear of the trans tibial socket for a base for installing “SP0300 Abutment”.

SP0300 Abutment (8° . 15°) This is the abutment designed to connect to “SP0200 Anchor” in order to connect either the “SP0400 Initial Fitting Plug Connector” or “SP0401 Plug Connector.” This part can be connected with either the SP0400 or SP0401 for alignment. This comes in two initial angles of 8 and 15 degrees.

SP0400 Initial Fitting Plug Connector The plug connector is used for initial fitting. The SP0400 allows the “SP1100 Sport Recreational Foot”, to be pinched back and forth, a length of the prosthetic limb can be slid up and down for adjustment. This plus connector can be connected with the “SP0300 Abutment” for alignment.

SP0401 Plug Connector After completion of initial fitting, the SPO401 Plug Connector is replaced with the “SP0400 Initial Fitting Plug Connector” for connection to the foot.

SP1000 L-Shaped Plate (0° . 8° . 16°) The L-Shaped Plate is used for the knee disarticulation prothsis and the trans femoral prosthesis. An “M Socket Base with Screw” can be connected to the top of the plate. This comes in three initial angles of 0, 8 and 16 degrees.

3190TEZ ADAPT LOCK

Ultra Low Profile Modular Lock

EZ ADAPT components allow you to fabricate a low profile socket much easier, providing modular versatility to rotate as needed without any hassle.

The 3190T EZLOCK is a Titanium adapter with a male pyramid on one end and threaded pylon on the opposite end. This titanium lock with serrated pin type attachment gives the ultimate advantage in strength and versatility when space is limited. The EZLOCK is a light space saving device which also provides the benefit of rotation. The push button can also be cut to length if needed.

The 3190T EZLOCK is designed to work in conjunction with ST&G 3 & 4-prong rotating bases 1421S, 1221S, 1223T. Please use laminating instruction for our bases.

Set screws should be torqued and thread locker applied after alignment is complete.

ST&G XP Valve is designed for vacuum suspension systems. It creates negative pressure inside the socket. This valve is positioned in a housing that seals securely against the inner surface of the hard socket near the distal end. The valve expulses the air under positive pressure when donning a socket. During removal of the prostheses, the socket seal needs to be released via doffing of the suspension sleeve and seal to allow air back into the hard socket. The XP Valve is an auto-expulsion and easy to install package. This is recommended for transtibial amputation and requires normal socket fabrication.

Cutting NSP™ / CSP Fiber:• Before cutting NSP™ / CSP fiber, tape the edge of the fiber with masking tape then cut down the middle of the tape line.• Use a scissor with a serrated edge.• If you attempt to cut NSP™ / CSP fiber with a smooth bladed scissor, use very sharp scissors then fold the braid over on itself– (doubling up) greatly helps.

Lamination:NSP™ / CSP is a high tech strong fiber. It requires a strong resin like 80:20 to contain the fiber when grinding. For the best edging results, the use of Perlon, Nylon or 1/2oz Dacron felt is ideal as the first layer and the last layer.

Grinding:• Use high speed and low pressure.• Only use sharp abrasives, dull abrasives will create friction and will “burn off” the resin and leave exposed fibers at your edge.

Note: “Burn off” is when the resin heats up with friction and melts or shrinks back, exposing the fiber contents. Edging Techniques:(The use of inner and outer finish layers is required. See example TT & TF Layup.)

Finishing edge instructions: Finish as you would any composite by wet sanding using 220 grit and finish with 400 grit wet/dry sanding paper.

LSOLSO BRACE FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

To Shorten the Length of the Nylon Cord on the Pulley Handle:

STEP 2 - Cut to Size

STEP 3 - Fit to Size

Lift sleeve and remove exten-sion panels to adjust to appro-priate size.

Initially align each pulley handle to the side of the brace prior to fitting. Adjust tension for sitting or standing.

Place the handles on the fabric for a secure fit.

Detach the cord from the front clip

Wrap the cord around the 360 degree side groove clockwise

Reattach the cord to the front clip

Pull each side pulley at the same time out and away to desired compression and support.

Center back panel on the spine with the pointed part of the posterior panel up.

Wrap the left side to the front, positioning the front panel. Then wrap right side on top of the left panel to close and attach in front.

Cut to desired length with scis-sors (prior to cutting, refer to sizing chart for proper length).

If size adjustment is minimal, simply fold the extension panel to desired length.

Once adjustment is made, (cut or folded) simply lift the sleeve and attach the extension to Velcro. Press down to secure.

TLSO BRACE FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

Measure patient around widest part of waist.

Place the handles on the fabric for a secure fit.

Detach the cord from the front clip

After determining waist size, (refer to sizing chart for proper length) Cut to desired length with scissors.

Have your patient hold the an-terior panel on their abdomen to size sternal pad

Unscrew locking mechanism lifting up to a comfortable posi-tion. Once set, screw locking mechanism until tight.

Then take back panel and align to back and clip each shoulder strap into place. Pull the straps tight.

Wrap the left side to the front, positioning the front panel. Then wrap right side on top of the left panel to close and attach in front.

DYNA-LOCK ANKLE JOINT

The Dyna-Lock Dynamic Ankle Joint is a unique design incorporating in patent pending one way pressure activated locking mechanism. This mechanism allows in patient to easily don the orthosis while positioned in plantar flexion. Once activator strap is fastened the ankle joint will lock into any desired dorsi-flexion position, while not allowing the patient to go back into plantar flexion. The joint will allow for more dorsi-flexion, but will not allow additional plantar flexion.

This ankle joint allows dynamic management of plantar flexion contractures in weight bearing and non-weight bearing devices. It also allows progressive management of plantar flexion contractures throughout therapy/rehab process, accomodating progressive dorsi-flexion.
