Precious Blood – Since the flu season appears to be winding ending, we will return to offering the Precious Blood and offering the Precious Body on the tongue during Masses.

ST. JOHN’S PARISH VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED to work the 2018 and 2019 Annual Diocesan Appeal (ADA). The ADA drive is directed by the Catholic Diocese of Peoria (CDOP) each year and participation is required for each parish. Here is a chance to get involved in your parish! Three volunteers are needed (these volunteers should not be spouses or members of the same household). We need: (1) Chairperson; (2) Co-chairperson, and (3) Auditor for the 2019 ADA. These three would help on this year’s 2018 ADA drive and then next year conduct the drive themselves. Please contact Myron Monge @ (309) 256-4235. -Thanks Fr. Radosevich

Annual Diocesan Appeal - In May, after years of study, two men will be ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Peoria. During their years of preparation for this vocation, they were supported by family and friends – and by everyone who made a gift to the Annual Diocesan Appeal. When you make a gift to the Appeal, you help meet the cost of priestly formation and education, since a portion of Appeal funds are used for this purpose. Please support our seminarians by making a gift to the Annual Diocesan Appeal next weekend.

If you wish to make a donation on your pledge next weekend or to pay your contribution in full, please make your check payable to the Catholic Diocese of Peoria. Reminder statements are sent monthly from July to December. Donations may also be made by signing up for automatic deduction by credit or debit card, by direct debit or online. May God continue to bless our Diocese and the services and programs provided by the ADA.

Teens Encounter Christ – There will be a Girls’ TEC weekend June 2 – 4, 2018 at the Spalding Renewal Center in Peoria. The next boys’ weekend will be August 13 – 15. TEC is open for those between the ages of 16 and 22. The experience is based on the Paschal Mystery of Christ. Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, and Christ lives in us and sends us forth with GOOD NEWS of God's Love for us. The weekend includes meditations on faith, prayer, reconciliation, Eucharist, discipleship and love. There is time for reflection on serious questions of life. This encounter offers participants the opportunity of forming Christian Community. On TEC, the message of Christ reaches not only the intellect but also the heart. For more information, contact the office or their website at www.peoriatec.org.

Cursillo – The Peoria Cursillo is primarily a lay movement. It is an instrument of renewal by which Christianity can permeate, live and grow in today's world. It proposes no new type of spirituality but a method through which one's spirituality can be strengthened, lived and shared in all areas of one's environment. The next Men’s Cursillo will be June 21 - 24 and the next Women’s Cursillo will be July 19 – 22 at the Spalding Renewal Center in Peoria. For more information contact the office or visit their website at www.peoriacursillo.org.
