If partial pressure of water vapor contained in the ambient air is lower than the

saturation pressure, evaporation occurs over the pool water’s surface. It is

possible to see the evaporation in large amount of water at indoor swimming

pools. Thus, the amount of moisture in the air rises to inappropriate level.

Depending on the high level of moisture in the building, sweating occurs at

windows and walls thus it results formation of corrosion and fungus in

structure components. Besides damaged of structural components in the

building, it lowers the blood circulation in people and results lower capacity in

sportive activities. According to VDI 2089/1, the humidity in indoor swimming

pools is ranked between 40 -64 %.

As a conclusion removing these adverse effects can be made by keeping the

humidity values appropriate by the humidifier.

In scope of these applications, very suitable temperatures are revealed for heat

recovery. By virtue of using the heat pomp and recycling device during the

dehumidification process in ventilation, the value of heat recovery i.e.

coefficient of performance (COP value) in return air of swimming pool is

between 4 and 5.

1.1. Working Principle

FourSeason Four-Pool series Pool Dehumidifier is manufactured with fullautomatic control system with micro-processor. Thus, all components on equipment are able to be controlled to guarantee the result.As an example, while the device is idle and working without dehumidification function, it provides air circulation inside of the pool. When humidity sensor exceeds the setting value, it passes to dehumidification mode. While it is working at idle position, fresh air and exhaust dampers are turned off since there is nobody in the pool so no need to have fresh air. Heat pump comes into operation and it starts dehumidification process. Using by-pass dampers, it is mixed with dehumidified air by cooling with return air. This process continues until actual humidity value reaches to set value of humidity sensor..In active use, fresh air and exhaust dampers open. By pass damper 14 is turned off.

Scenario 1: WINTER- NIGHT

It is ideally preferred at nights during the winter months. Since there is no user in the pool, the fresh air and exhaust dampers are closed.. The mixture dampers are completely turned on. It runs with internal air by 100%. The compressor comes in and it fulfils the task of dehumidifying. The humidly rate of cooled air for dehumidifying is kept at fixed value thus increased temperature while passing over the condenser.

Scenario 2: WINTER- DAY

It is ideally preferred during the active pool hours in winter months when the outside temperature is low. The suction air leaves a part of heat while passing over the heating pipe. The compressor comes in and it fulfils the task of dehumidifying for energy saving, a certain amount of exhaust air is mixed with fresh air. Heat that is accumulated in heating pipe is rolled back. Heater battery brings the blowing temperature which has been lowered after dehumidifying process, to comfort value.

Scenario 3: SUMMER

It is ideally preferred in cases when the outside temperature is higher than the inside temperature of the pool. In such cases, the heating pipe and heating pumps are disabled. The humidity is kept constant by 100% fresh air. The compressor does not start in.

2. Technical Specifications and Equipment

2.1.Cassette structure • The frame was manufactured with 6063 extruded aluminum profile and

painted with RAL9002 epoxy electrostatic powder paint .

• It has 50 mm panel structure. The inner and outer surfaces are painted with

moisture resistant RAL9002 epoxy electrostatic powder paint.

Upon request of the customer, the inner panels can be manufactured from

AlS1304 quality stainless steel sheet. It is filled with rock wool with weight of 70

kg/m3 in thickness of 50 mm. It features preventive action against the thermal

bridge at interval profiles. It is fed with rock wool.

• The inner surface of equipment is completely smooth without any recess, bulge

so it is easily cleaned by preventing any dust or dirt build-up.

• The holes where the cables passed through and the measurement devices are

mounted are air tight.

• For piping, a special blind cell is produced in device.

2.2. Equipment base• The base of the equipment is manufactured from galvanized sheet with

thickness of 2 mm. It is painted with Moisture resistant RAL9002 Epoxy

electrostatic powder paint.

• In order to keep the level of corrosion resistance, bolt-nut is used in mounting

of base.

• Upon customer’s demand, a special vibration wedge is attached thus both

necessity of any additional base and the vibration of the machine are prevented.

2.3. Backgrounds • In order to prevent the vibration, fan + motor group is mounted to the

equipment with appropriate isolators and flexible connection. Spring isolators are

selected in capacity to carry the static and dynamic loads of fan +motor group

and with high vibration isolation efficiency.

• Spring isolators are coated with corrosion-resistant coating.

• Spring isolators are locked with central locking mechanism to prevent the

action of fan motor group during the transport. Equipment has a warning label,

which is stating that the locking mechanism of spring isolator should be removed

before operating the device.

2.5. Heating and Cooling Equipment

• Serpentines are Eurovent certified.

• Serpentines are manufactured from copper pipe and aluminum wings.

• Cassette is made of galvanized or stainless sheet material.

• All serpentines have one discharging and one air cap.

• Serpentines tested under pressure of at least 20 bar. If necessary, test can

be done under pressure of 30 bar.

• Collectors used in serpentines are made of copper pipe.

• Heater and cooler Assembly serpentine sheets are slide-out so they can

easily be removed for cleaning and maintenance.

• Any risk of short circuit because of air passing through serpentine is prevent-

ed by using special by—pass sheets.

• On hot and cold water serpentines, the water inlet placed below bottom and

the water outlet placed above top as reverse flow to rise heat transfer rate

between air and water.

• A dual inclined condensing pan is placed below cooling serpentine and accu-

mulated water is discharged through the drainage pipe.

• If demister is used, the type of demister of which the wing is made of PVC

material resistant against the temperature up to 90 C degree is selected.

• The siphon made of suitable material given with the equipment is able to

prevent the air to release or the air to come inside through the drainage pipe

according to the pressure in cooler serpentine cell ( negative or positive).

• A rubber badge is attached to the pipe in order to prevent any possible

condensation and air leakage between water inlet-outlet pipes and device

cassette in heating and cooling coil.

COMPRESSORS

• Scroll type compressors are used in FourSeason Four-Pool equipment.

• Compressors are protected against high temperature and current.

• It is compatible with R407C or R410 coolants.

2.6. Dampers

• Dampers are sized to enable the air flow to be passed through by 100%.

• Damper wings are made in aerofoil structure with opposite motion.

• Cassette and wings are made of aluminum.

• Air leakage is minimized by using bolt at wing edges.

• Dampers can be controlled manually or by servo-motor.

2.7. Filters

• G4 filter is used in Blowing and Suction line.

• A maintenance gap is available for filter replacement and maintenance.

• The amount of air leakage in filters is minimized by by-pass sheets.

• Sight glass and lighting lamp can be applied to the filter cells.

2.8. Heat Recovery Cells

• By using heat recovery exchanger with heat pipe in devices, the productivity is increased and energy consumption and costs are decreased.

• The plate surfaces are epoxy coated against corrosion.

• A double curved condensation pan made of stainless steel is placed below the heating pipe.

• These devices, which are designed in closed system, include coolant fluid. While the temperature of moisture and warm suction air is cooled by the phase change of this fluid, the temperature of blowing air is increased.

2.9. Power and Control Panel

• The necessary protection measures are taken to provide the equipment with safe operation.

• FourSeason Four-Pool Four-Pool swimming pool dehumidification plants include a specially developed micro-processor control system consisting of SIEMENS products.

• The micro-processor system includes software that keeps the temperature values set automatically and ensures cost saving. In addition, the compressors are operated based on equal aging principle so unnecessary running of suction and ventilation fans is prevented.

• The language is optionally selected whether Turkish or English

• The system card is available for the building management system with an interface.

3.Equipment size and capacity chart

FourSeason Four-Pord swimming pool dehumidifi-cation equipment includes Micro-Processor control panel having software designed to fulfill all demands of the system.

Duct type humidity and temperature sensors are used in FourSeason Four-Pool swimming pool dehumidification equipment.

FourSeason package hygienic air conditioning equipment includes sensitive valve servomotors that are adjusting blowing air temperature.

These units enable the equipment to be remote controlled optionally.

Differential pressure keys are used to detect the pollution of air filters and working condition of back-grounds.

These sensors are installed on blowing mouth.It communicates the air temperature values toauto-mation system.

It is a digital display for system adjustments and monitoring.

Freezing thermostats are used to prevent freezing of dehumidification equipment‘s serpentine during the winter months. Due to the freezing thermostat warning, the system is shut down the outside connection or stopped completely thus the battery break is prevented.
