The following has taken me 4 years and 4 months to share this with you

and your organisation

OPTION ONE

continued Driving around Dorset, which includes Bournemouth and Poole during the day,

looking upwards towards the street and road light lantern heads, shows that many are

not very old, while some are very old, or already replaced with a complete new LED

lantern head fixture as seen across Bournemouth (Bmth) you cannot service.

Option one, has to be the lowest cost when replacing a HP sodium lamp and ballast,

subject to the space inside being suitable for a larger size CORN lamp.

The driver of these LED lamps, replaces the Ballast of the HPS lamp, separate to the

lamp its self.

The LED CORN design incorporates the same high powered SMD chips, as embedded

into the all in one LED street light fixture as seen across Bmth

The existing reflector behind the diffuser cover will add to the overall light supplied by

the CORN lamp, not just from the SMD chips directing downwards as seen in Bmth.

Unlike the all in one LED street lights being promoted by manufactures/importers to

councils, the existing street/road lanterns we have come to live with for over 50 years,

the CORN LED lamp replacement provides a similar overall light quality.

OPTION TWO Option two, is to disconnect an existing

street/road light lantern and transfer to

a workshop to be serviced if not past its

sell by date.

If there is a 20 year life left in these

Lantern heads , employ a person to

dismantle all the HPS parts and clean up

the unit.

Its already been proven that an LED

Corn bulb can be installed with the

separate driver replaced the HPS ballast

These refurbished LED lanterns can be

re instated in one road or street, so they

all look the same.

A another option is to offer these

refurbished street/road light

lanterns to other councils or export

to African governments who are

desperate to reduce its lighting

energy costs.

OPTION FOUR • The current revolution happening

across the world, is the change over to LED street/road lighting started by China.

• Prices have now fallen to a level, where pay back is just a couple of years.

• Prices can be as low as $90.00 + shipping, always with a 50,000 hr life expectancy (12 years)

• The only thing to remember, when looking to specify these types of LED lamps, is YOU cannot service them.

• The day these stop working, be prepared to have a budget in place, to replace them, what ever the cost may be at that time.

• In order to get the scrap value back, all the electrical parts have to be separated from the aluminium heat sink casing.

DECISION TIME To all the councils of the United Kingdom looking to cut street/road lighting

electricity costs, look beyond your traditional preferred manufactures, to

smaller innovation businesses as mine, to gain a full understanding about

today's LED lighting choices, beyond just street/road lighting.

After 15 years being involved in all aspects of energy saving technologies

from 12 volt LED lights to what is available today (with the past 4 years

visiting many manufactures in China and exhibitions) I am now 100%

convinced that the most cost effective lighting solution for every country in

the world. My advice is to stay with the traditional lantern head, but

installed with a LED screw in replacement BULB.

If I had not been asked by the Lagos State Electricity company in Nigeria to

source a replacement LED bulb for a HPS bulb, while keeping the lantern

heads, I would have followed what the LED industry in China is mass

producing as the only answer to replacing millions of HPS outdated

street/road and highway lantern heads.

If you decide to go for the all in one, throw away LED Lamp, add into the cost, the cost to separate the electrical parts from the metal parts to meet the WEE directives
