    Dear West Point Supporter:

    Our annual Founders Day Banquet, celebrating the 208th anniversary of the establishment of the United StatesMilitary Academy, will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, 201 South Columbus Blvd, Philadelphia, PA onSaturday April 10, 2010 at 1800 hours. Graduates, associates, family and friends are invited to join us and tocelebrate the Academys birthday. We need your support and participation to ensure the success of this event.

    Our keynote speaker, and Recipient of the GEN Alexander M. Haig, Jr. Guardian of Liberty Award, for this yearsbanquet will be COL (Ret) Sherwood (Woody) Goldberg. COL Goldberg has a distinguished record as a CombatInfantryman with the 1st Infantry Division in the Republic of Vietnam; and served for more than 30 years as SpecialAdvisor and Chief of Staff for GEN (Ret) Alexander M. Haig, Jr. He graduated from Dickinson College (BA) inCarlisle, PA, the University of Pennsylvania (MA); and Temple University School of Law (JD). COL Goldberg isalso a Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army. He is a distinguished son of Philadelphia, who has served God,

    Family and the Nation with selfless dedication, profound wisdom; and quiet modesty. He is the ideal person toreceive the Haig Award on this, the 10th Anniversary of its establishment and presentation to GEN Haig in 2000.
