• Context Analysis:

In depth analysis performed in Alexandria to assess the

solar energy technical knowledge, its development

technological trends and the local regulation standards

in the area.

• Schools Involvement:

Organized workshops in schools to create awareness on

the importance of the use of solar energy as well

organized workshops and events for citizens.

(400 students have been involved)




• Guidelines:

Our technical experts helped in the design of the

guidelines on building integration of PV in the

Mediterranean area

• Training Paths:

3 training courses took place for designers and SMEs,

installers and students.

(300 have been trained)

Location:

Alexandria Chamber of Commerce: The building is

located in the City of Alexandria

It was constructed in 1922, hence integration into an

antique building was a true challenge




• Pilot Project:

Design:

The PV was designed so it forms an integral part of the

building, yet collecting the maximum direct solar

radiation. Architects, PV experts and antiquities experts

were involved in the process.

Colored modules to match building architectural design

were used
