Christmas Challenge This years Christmas Challenge recipient will be Really Recovered. Really

Recovered is a church plant of the Christian Missionary Alliance in Wooster

that is focused on people having a life changing encounter with Jesus. They

are positioned to serve people who are struggling with addiction as well as

people coming out of the criminal justice system.

The Christmas Challenge goes like this: you add up the money you are

spending on Christmas this year and then give the same amount to the church

and we will bless Really Recovered with it.

Operation Christmas Child As you read this, the 2,213 shoe boxes that passed through Smithville Breth-

ren Church, are on their way to children around the world! From SBC you

filled 356 shoe boxes! Thank you for your participation in packing the shoe

boxes and in helping collect the boxes at this drop-off location. We also

sent $2,182.92 to Samaritan’s Purse for the shoe boxes. Thank you for your generosity!

There were 40+ who helped during Drop-Off Week, and we are grateful for each of you

who made this possible. Continue to pray that these shoe boxes will have an eternal

impact throughout the world. Merry Christmas!!

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace,

good will toward men!”

Thank You Notes!

We would like to extend a HUGE THANKS to Chet and his crew for

moving us into our new home. We are both so incredibly grateful for

each and every person's help. It was a long night, as merging two lives,

later in life, creates a lot of stuff! Now Phase 2 is on us...to condense

and purge (and make way for a great big garage sale next year!)

You are all so wonderful and we couldn't possibly have done this

without your help. We consider this home our "forever home" and you

are our "forever family" - and we love you all. Dennis and Barb Winey

Ray and Marilyn Aspinall want to thank all our friends at SBC who

sent cards and prayed for our family during Marilyn's brother, David Mur-

ray's surgery and death. We know he is with the Lord.

To our wonderful church family - you were kind enough to extend a

call to a man much older than you anticipated in your job description,

moved him and his wife and hot tub hundreds of miles, welcomed both

and extended grace while they learned names and local traditions,

and lovingly prayed and supported in regular times and a global pandemic. We are the ones who feel so loved

and appreciated, yet you gave us a kind card and generous gift card. To

say we feel grateful is an understate-ment.

May you know how much we ap-preciate YOU, and look forward to

many years of growing in Christ to-gether. Many Thanks,

Scott & Wendy Fetter

I just wanted to take the time to

thank you for everything you as a board do for us high school seniors.

Thank you for all the prayers, sup-port, and kindness you have given us.

This month I am excited to give a review on a new book

entitled TIPPING POINT by Jimmy Evans.

To highlight the items covered in the book, I would like to quote the

review written about this book. “We are living in tumultuous times. From corrupt world politics to

global pandemics to an unprecedented rebellion against God and His

word, humanity has reached a critical stage. In this eye-opening book, Jimmy Evans examines biblical prophies

about the end times and points to their unmistakable parallels with to-

day’s world. With a clear, insightful analysis of Scripture, he answers

many common questions, such as:

• Are we living in the end times?

• How should Believers respond to increasing immorality?

• Will Christians go through the Tribulation?

• What role does Israel play in God’s prophetic plan?

• Are COVID-19 and other world events announcing the imminent

return of Jesus?

Ultimately, Tipping Point will help you understand current events with

confidence. There is no going back, but hope and peace are possible as

God’s plan unfolds and we approach the end of the age.”

Look for this book on the back wall of the Library.

Sincerely,

Rachel Krabill, Librarian

Quote for the Day: Matthew 6:21 “For where your treasure is, there your heart

will be also.”

A Note from Your Librarian

Thank you for showing us off be-

fore we go off in the world to our next step in life. Thank you for

everything. Cora Mong

I wanted to reach out to say

thank you for the blankets. It has been a busy time for us helping

young families during this pandemic. As the weather is beginning to get

cold, the blankets are all the more popular. Thank you for this gener-

ous donation. Help Me Grow

We have been so moved by the

cards and expressions of condo-lence on the loss of Marilyn's two

brothers. Then, today, there was the arrival of a beautiful floral ar-

rangement. It brought tears to

Marilyn's eyes. Thank you so much, church family. You are loved and

appreciated. Ray and Marilyn Aspinall

To our Smithville Brethren Family, We feel very blessed to

be here as a part of a church family that is so great. I am continuously

amazed at the ways in which you care for each other and people in

the community. Our family appreciates your gen-

erous expressions of love that we received. Thank you for blessing

us! The Carr Family

McGinnis McUpdate: Wycliffe’s Bible translation work continues, even amidst COVID. Four New Testaments were dedicated

around the world in September and October! Also, if you haven't heard the news, Andrew & Sarah are ex-

pecting their first child in April 2021! If you'd like to read their newsletter, with more details, contact them

at [email protected] or [email protected]. (They won't add anyone to their list without

a request.)

Currently, they continue to work on building their Wycliffe ministry team, with prayer and financial part-

ners. Despite the increase in their budget (due to the baby), they are at 78% of their Wycliffe budget, praise

God! Please pray for a healthy pregnancy and that they would be at 100% by the end of this year, so they can

focus on other Wycliffe roles until the baby arrives. They plan to leave for Cameroon in time for the new

school year, in July. To partner in prayer or finances: https://www.wycliffe.org/partner/
