What challenges were experienced

• International body not deemed relevant or in touch with current trends • Too many conferences that conflicted:

The 17th ILERA World Congress, Cape Town South Africa, 7 - 11 September 2015 “The Changing World of Work: Implications for Labour and Employment Relations

and Social Protection“ SLS 2015 Annual Conference, University of York, 1 – 4 September 2015 Labour Law Research Network Conference 2015, Netherlands. 25 – 27 June 2015 The European Conference on Politics, Economics and Law 2015, United Kingdom, 9 -12 July 2015

• Local SASLAW members did not attend

• International body did not assist with marketing to the regional associations as everyone had their own interests.

Did the Conference go well?

• Programme ran smoothly • Welcome Reception and Gala Dinner – well attended

• Printed programme and translation worked well • Local Association secured further funding for ProBono work • No reputational damage
