Respectfully submitted, Chriss Denny - Secretary The meeting was called to order by President, Bruce Armstrong. A quorum was present. Attendees: B. Armstrong, H. Sutfin, C. Denny, S. Staudinger, J. Caldwell, S. Foster, L. Denny, C. Limoges, R. Harding. A Hegewald, M. Robertson, Dotty Scott, and J. Weaver. (Note: R. Foster was present to take indi-vidual photos of the Board Members.) The minutes of the July 16 Board Meeting were approved by consensus of the Board. The Treasurer’s report was presented by Treasurer, Stephen Staudinger – We are now Fort Vancouver Lions Club Foundation so the financial statement reflects this transition. Correspondence: A letter from MD19, signed by DG Terry J. Sutfin, was read in which the recommendation was made to give 2010 White Cane Monies to the Northwest Lions Foundation for Sight and Hearing. Following discussion, C. Limoges moved that the monies our Club collected be held in escrow until after the MD19 Council Meeting on October 1, 2010. (in Pasco, WA) The motion was seconded and passed unanimously. Payment was received from Ovations for our hours worked at the Lilith Fair Concert. S. Staudinger reviewed the breakdown of the distribution of those funds. According to the document received from the State of Washington Licensing Division our Lions Club Founda-tion is now Registered in the State of Washington Steve reported he received some checks for an incorrect amount and asked for recommendation to round up dues for family member dues rate from $45.50 to $46.00 effective 1-1-2011 A. Hegewald moved, R. Hard-ing II, passed unanimously. Business – for information:

a. Frozen Berry Sales Report – L. Denny reported receipts of $1805.00 (total frozen berry sales are just over $4,000 at this time.) L Denny also announced we received a reduced rate on our bulk mailings since we are now officially a 501 (c) (3 ). We now have a credit from our last bulk mailing

b. Status of Washington School projects – Lee reviewed the list of projects scheduled for Washington School for the 2010-2011 school year. He is chairman of activities at the school but not the chair of each project. He has a list of possible activities and dates which he’d like to share with the membership today. He will be asking for people to volunteer to chair these activities. The schedule is attached.

c. D. Scott has updated our website has asked members to notify her with changes and/or cor-rections via e-mail. d. Bruce A. discussed the organizational chart and he will make changes and corrections as noted. Business – for action:

LCIF Grant for Piano Hospital The Vancouver Lions Club has requested that we support a grant which will take care of costs to install air conditioning at the Piano Hospital. Following dis-cussion it was determined that S. Staudinger will present this issue at the Zone meeting and will ask the Clubs to endorse it as a zone project. No action was taken at this time.

Purchase of Lions Club hats – C. Denny presented a request for approval to order hats with the Fort Vancouver Lions name embroidered on them. Following discussion A. Hegewald volun-teered to work out a proposal to submit to the Board.

Membership application – Coletta Bruce has submitted an application for membership. She is a friend of S. Hammond and has visited our club a number of times. R. Harding moved to approve her application. The motion passed unanimously. As a point of information C. Li-moges stated he has e-mailed several members to invite them to be on the Membership Com-mittee.

Scholarship Change J. Weaver announced that the candidate initially selected to receive the scholar-ship is dropping out of our program. The Scholarship Committee wants to extend the offer to the runner-up. The new recipient is from Fort Vancouver High School. R. Harding moved to approve Mr. H. Lee for the scholarship for the coming two years. C Limoges seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

Since there is sufficient business to discuss the next Board Meeting will be August 20, 2010. Adjournment Respectfully submitted, Chriss Denny - Secretary
