Welcome toFt. Collins PrideFest

Earlier this year, The Center conducted a commu-nity needs assessment in Northern Colorado to gain a better understanding of the community’s needs and desires. Overwhelmingly, PrideFest ranked as the most important service as it was a place to connect and sup-port the LGBT community of Northern Colorado.

With that in mind, we are very excited to be producing our first Fort Collins PrideF-est September 8.

The PrideFest celebration will bring world-famous en-tertainment, including head-liner Carlo Riley, an internationally renowned Michael Jackson tribute artist, among others. The popular Dogs in Drag pageant in their best drag will be hosted by Nuclia Waste, the drag queen of comedy. New family attractions will include a petting zoo, kiddie olympics, and even Kids Karaoke on the center stage.

Fort Collins PrideFest will no doubt contribute to creating community for everyone. The Northern Colo-rado LGBT community spoke to us through the survey and we are ready to deliver. Many folks are relying on our level of professionalism and experience as spoken through the words of a survey respondent , “[The Cen-ter] will breathe new life into the GLBT community here and produce activities available to help us meet each other and have more of a sense of community.”

I hope LGBT people and allies throughout Colorado join in solidarity and contribute to building community in Northern Colorado.

See in you in Fort Collins on September 8th.

Regards,Carlos Martinez, CEO
