• Take time to chew- Chew your food slowly and savour every bite. We forget to taste the flavours and feel the textures of
what is in our mouths when we rush through our meals. Reconnect with the joy while eating.
• Avoid stress- Our digestion can be compromised when we are under stress causing problems like colitis and
heartburn. Try to take some deep breaths before taking your meal or play soothing music to create a relaxing atmosphere.
• Listen to your body- Ask yourself if you are really hungry. During a meal, stop eating before you feel full. It actually takes
a few minutes for your brain to tell your body that it has had enough food, so eat slowly.
• Eat early- Start your day with a healthy breakfast. This can jumpstart your metabolism and eating the majority
of your daily caloric allotment early in the day gives your body time to work calories off.Adapted from : http://www.helpguide.org/life.htm

SECTION EQuestions 35-37 are based on the following poem.
MR NOBODYI know a funny little man,
As quiet as a mouse,Who does the mischief that is done
In everybody’s house!There’s no one ever sees his face,
And yet we all agreeThat every plate we break was cracked
By Mr Nobody.
‘Tis he who always tears our books,Who leaves the door ajar,
He pulls the button from our shirts,And scatters pin afar;
That squeaking door will always squeak, For, prithee, don’t you see,
We leave the oiling to be doneBy Mr Nobody.
He puts damp wood upon the fire,That kettles cannot boil;
His are the feet that bring in mud,And all the carpets soil.
The papers always are mislaid,Who had them last but he?
There’s no one tosses them aboutBut Mr Nobody.
The finger marks upon the doorBy none of us are made;
We never leave the blinds unclosed,To let the curtains fade;
The inkwe never spill, the bootsThat lying round you see
Are not our boots – they all belongTo Mr Nobody.

38 All the following statements are true about James’ performance, except
A James had only one line to speak in the playB James made a mistake in his lineC James performed his part perfectly
JamesTonight was the perfect example of why I hate drama. The hall was absolutely packed with people.
Everyone’s parents were there. Mum was in the front row: She wanted a good view of Tristan, as he was the star of the show. He was brilliant, of course. I don’t know how he manages to learn all those lines. All I had to do was say one measly little line. Could I remember it? No, of course not. One tiny, little line, consisting of just seven words and I got it wrong. Mr Sewell says that nobody noticed but I know that’s not true. Jessica Parker laughed at me.
Mum said that Tristan and I were both brilliant, but honestly – am I really expected to fall for that? I was awful. Just because we’re twins doesn’t mean we have to be good at the same things. I accept that. I think it’s about time that Mum did, too.
His are the feet that bring in mud,And all the carpets soil.
D Mum was proud of James for his performance in the play
39 Which of the following remarks shows that James did not believe his mother’s word of compliment?
A “I know that’s not true.”B “Jessica Parker laughed at me.”C “Am I really expected to fall for that?”D “I was awful.”
40 From the extract, we know thatA James likes to take part in playsB James accepts his weaknessesC only a few people attended the school playD James and Tristan are equally good at all
things

What is food variety? It can be defined as the introduction of a variety of foods from the
four major food groups: meat and dairy products, breads and cereals, fruit and vegetables and fat
and oils. The diet should contain vegetables, fruit, pulses, bread and cereals to provide a healthy
intake of carbohydrate, protein, vitamins and dietry fibre.
Animal products such as fish, lean meat, eggs, chicken and dairy products should be eaten in
moderation, as they provide a good source of protein, iron, calcium and B group vitamins.
Fats, oils and sugar should be eaten in the smallest amount, as they contain too many calories
