Step 1: Installing and Setup of MetaTrader 4

Before you can use the Forex Godfather Expert Advisor, you must download and install the MetaTrader4, a free professional trading platform. You can download from: http://www.metaquotes.net

After the download is complete, please double click on the setup program (m4setup.exe) and you will get a screen like this:

Choose your preferred language and click Next.

Click Next again to continue to User Agreement option.

Tick the agreement box and continue with installation.

Click Next to continue with installation

Choose your preffered folder to install files.

Click Next

If you want to launch MetaTrader, tick the box and click Finish.

Now enter your details.

Check the tick box and click Next.

Click UWC-Demo.com and click Next.

Remember to keep your login details in a safe place then click Finish.

Step 2: Opening MetaTrader 4 and installing Forex Godfather Expert Advisor

If you had ticked the box to launch MetaTrader4 it should already be opened up.

Then go to MetaTrader 4 and in the drop down box click MetaTrader.

You will now have this image in front of you.

Now close the program

The expert advisor directory is typically located under the “experts” subfolder of the MetaTrader4 installation folder. Generally found in the C:\Program Files\

Once you have double clicked MetaTrader 4 folder you will find the “experts” folder,

Double click and find the “indicators” folder,

Now go to the Forex Godfather folder,

The ForexGodfather_GBPUSD_H1.ex4 file to the “experts” folder

The VROC.ex4 to the “indicators” folder.

Step 3: Verify the ForexGodfather_GBPUSD_H1 Expert Advisor is

installed After the EA is copied to the “experts” folder, we need to verify the EA is installed properly. Start the MetaTrader4 application. In the Navigator window, open the “Expert Advisors” folder.

If you see the word “ForexGodfather_GBPUSD_H1” listed under the folder as in the picture below, it means the EA is now installed.

Running Expert Advisor We are now ready to try the ForexGodfather_GBPUSD_H1 expert advisor. First start the MetaTrader4 application. Then follow the following steps.

Step 1: Configure MetaTrader4 to allow live trading for the EA On the “menu” bar,

Please click “Tools”

And then “Options”.

When the option dialog pops up, click on the Expert Advisors tab.

Check “Enable Expert Advisor” and “Allow live trading”.

Then click OK to accept the change.

Step 2: Determine the currency pair and time period to use. We will run the EA on the H1 chart of GBPUSD. So the currency pair is GBPUSD and the period is H1 (Hourly). Right click on GBPUSD from the market watch window.

When the menu pops up, choose “Chart Window”.

Right click on the chart window.

On the periodicity toolbar, click H1.

Step 3: Run the ForexGodfather_GBPUSD_H1 Expert Advisor In the Navigator window, Click the “Expert Advisors” folder,

Double click “ForexGodfather_GBPUSD_H1”

You will then see a pop up dialog.

Notice the “Ask manual confirmation” check box. If you check this box, the EA will ask for confirmation before entering the trade.

The “Inputs” tab contains parameters to tweak the EA. We will discuss it in more detail in the next topic.

For now, we simply click the OK button to run the EA. If everything is fine, you should see the label “ForexGodfather_GBPUSD_H1” with a smiley face.

Our EA is now in action.

Everything is set ready to go and only change parameters if you know what you are doing though this is NOT advised. Here’s the Parameters.

Parameters Acc5Digits = true Should be true for 5 digits duotes and false for 4 digits.

Lots = 1.0 Number of lots.

EnableMM = False Money management . Should be true if you want use build in money

management and should be false if you want to trade with fix lot.

If EnableMM = true

LotBalancePcnt = 10 lot size = percent by account balance

MinLot = 0.1 minimal lot size

MaxLot = 5 maximal lot size

Congratulations!

Now we are ready to use the EA!
