Chainsaw chaps and trousers are designed to give protection against accidental injury caused by chainsaws. Users should be aware of the limitations of the protection given, and all normal safety precautions should be taken. Adequate training in the use of all equipment is also recommended.

Choose the correct sized garment to give a comfortable fit. The bottom of the protective material should touch the top of the foot. Zips and buckles should be done up at all times.

Garments should be cleaned and inspected regularly. Follow the washing instructions sewn into the garment. Flammable liquids should be washed off as soon as practical. A build up of oil’s & petrol’s will greatly reduce the fire retardant properties of FR outer fabrics.

Inspect garments daily after use. Any damaged or missing parts should be repaired or replaced immediately. Do not modify the garment in any way. Under no circumstances sew through the layers of fabric. Once cut or damaged the garment should be discarded and replaced.

WARNING. Chainsaws are dangerous if used incorrectly. Best forestry safety practices should be observed at all times. Remember that chainsaw chaps and trousers do not give protection against all risks and injuries.Keep this card in a safe place for future reference.
