The Project supports selected Peoples Organizations under the 20 partner LGUs within and adjacent the Panay Mountain Ranges. The Government of Germany through the GIZ shall provide a total of EUR 4,000,000 for the Project in the form of personnel, inputs, and appropriate financial contribution. 1. Establishing Forest Land Use Planning (FLUP) and integrating it to Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP). 2. Providing security and land tenure to project beneficiaries. 3. Expanding of adapted agroforestry and large scale forest rehabilitation within the buffer zone and natural forests. 4. Utilizing biomass potential from rice residues and plantation wood as source of renewable energy. 5. Disseminating knowledge and information relevant to biodiversity conservation. Various species of plants were planted including Ayu, Badlan, Bakan, Batino, Bato-Bato, Bayog, Hambabalud, Ipil-Ipil, Lisak, Narra, Red Lau-an, Sari-sari, Tabuyog, Taghangin, Tapuyay and Toog.
