The Province of Ontario is currently under aLiberal government headed by Premier DaltonMcGuinty. The present Ontario government,first elected in 2003, was reelected on Octo-ber 10th, 2007.

It is affectionately called the McGuintyOnta-rioEnvironmentalTerrorRegime, which isthe POLITICAL SHIELD for the EnvironmentalTerrorMovement, functioning as its LEGISLA-TIVE INSTRUMENT of PROHIBITION POLICYagainst pest control products. The McGuintyEnviroTerrorRegime passedlegislation implementing a cosmetic pesti-cides ban that took effect April 22nd, 2009.The requirements of the prohibition are de-tailed in Ontario Regulation 63/09 and the Pes-

ticides Act, which was amended by the Cos-metic Pesticides Ban Act.

In 2010, the government implemented a DE-STRUCTIVE program of FEES and TAXES forALL types of fertilizers Municipal Hazardousor Special Waste Program Plan ( MHSW ) andHarmonized Sales Tax ( HST ).

Under the NEEDLESS, SENSELESS, and MALI-CIOUS policies of MHSW program, the FertilizerIndustry was COERCED into paying the entirecost of socalled FERTILIZER WASTE. Thiscost would then be PASSED ON to the endusers in the Green Space Industry. Conse-quently, the Green Space Industry is beingforced to spend even more of its limited finan-cial resources on EnviroManiac programs.

MHSW is NOT a program for protecting the en-vironment.

MHSW is a PLOY that ensures money and em-

ployment for GREEDY and AVARICIOUS En-viroManiacGovernmentOfficials who haveguaranteed themselves SAFE, SECURE, GUAR-ANTEED, and WELLPAYING ENVIROTERRORJOBS at the expense of the Green Space In-dustry.

MHSW program costs are funded by those in-dustries that produce and use the materials.

The BLOATED budget of the Municipal Hazard-ous or Special Waste Program Plan ( MHSW ) is1.7MILLIONDOLLARS PER YEAR, which willbe covered by an increase in the cost of fertil-izer paid by the endusers.

The DESTRUCTIVE MHSW FEE increases thecost of fertilizer by at least FIFTYEIGHTCENTS PER 25KILOGRAMBAG.

This DESTRUCTIVE FEE WILL BE INCREASEDover time Stewardship Ontario intends to adjust ( i.e. increase ) the DESTRUCTIVEMHSW FEE at a later date.

Ontario Harmonized Sales Tax

In addition to the destructive MHSW fee im-posed by the municipal hazardous or SpecialWaste Program, the McGuintyOntarioEnviroTerror regime has also targeted the GreenSpace Industry with its Harmonized Sales Tax( HST ).

Previously, a Professional Lawn Care companyor golf course would pay 8 per cent ProvincialSales Tax ( PST ) on fertilizer.

However, there was NO federal goods and ser-vices tax ( GST ) of 5 per cent on bags 25kilograms or larger, if over 500 kg was pur-

chased.

This essentially provided an exception to mostGreen Space endusers.

Now, with Harmonized Sales Tax ( HST ), pro-fessional endusers will be paying five per centmore for their fertilizer.

A 25kilogrambag of fertilizer now costs anextra ONEDOLLARANDTWENTYFIVE CENTS... all because of the McGuintyEnviroTerrorRegimes Harmonized Sales Tax ( HST ).

Exceptions to HST

Several professional endusers that originallybenefitted from an exception status on tax willface additional hardships.

The exception status will be revoked from sev-eral groups, in particular the Golf Industry.
