God’s word is like the rain that waters the earth and brings forth vegetation. It is also like the sower who scatters seed indiscriminately. Our lives are like seeds sown in
the earth. Even from what appears to be little, dormant, or dead, God promises a harvest. At the Lord’s table we are fed with the bread of life, that we may bear fruit in the world.

How Can You Help?
The Simply Giving insert in the FYI is in response to our Congregation/Council Conversation on June 11. Suggestions were made for everyone to make an immediate commitment to give $10 per week automatically to help with the “summer slump” and to help pay our bills, which never go on vacation. An automatic commitment insures our offerings are in church even when we are not. Thanks for your consideration. Another suggestion made for immediate contributions to our expenses was to make a “special” contribution to a specific aspect of our budget. One item mentioned was contributing to reducing our mortgage, with the hope of paying it off. To do this, you may use a pew or other envelope to make a special offering, indicate on the envelope/check for Mortgage Reduction and the money will go to that account.
New Church Phone Directories are available in the narthex.
One per family please.
