Why do you need the Child-Saver Program? Colorado law requires use of child restraint seats for infants and toddlers.

Why is Colorado Farm Bureau offering the Child-Saver Program?

Colorado Farm Bureau established the Child-Saver Program to make protecting your child as easy as possible. Car accidents are the leading cause of death for children under the age of five. Most deaths and serious injuries could be prevented if infants and children were protected by safety seats whenever they traveled.

Does the Child Car Seat meet required standards?

Yes, this seat is a convertible model, suitable for children from birth through 40 pounds or 43 inches. The seat meets all federal standards and has been approved by the FAA for use on most commercial and general aircraft. Please refer to the picture of the seat under the Cosco logo of this order form.

Is a Child Car Seat safer than just holding a child in your lap or in your arms?

Definitely. In a sudden stop or crash, momentum will cause a 20-pound baby to weigh 400 pounds or more. Studies have shown that an adult, even with a safety belt locked in place cannot safely hold onto a child when this occurs. Further, if you were holding your child on your lap in a frontal crash, the child could be crushed between the car’s dashboard and your own body.

1. Mail the order form at right, with your check, to the address on the order form.

2. The seat manufacturer will send the seat directly to you and bill Colorado Farm Bureau for the remaining balance and shipping charges. You owe nothing to Colorado Farm Bureau.
