TEACHING/PREACHING
“BUILDING A SURE FOUNDATION FOR
YOUR CHILDREN AND GENERATIONS” By Rev. Bishop Clarence N. Williams
Scripture references
Prologue – Job 1
1 In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless
and upright; he feared God and shunned evil. 2 He had seven sons and three
daughters, 3 and he owned seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred
yoke of oxen and five hundred donkeys, and had a large number of servants. He was the greatest man among all the people of the East.
4 His sons used to hold feasts in their homes on their birthdays, and they would invite
their three sisters to eat and drink with them. 5 When a period of feasting had run its course, Job would make arrangements for them to be purified. Early in the morning he
would sacrifice a burnt offering for each of them, thinking, ‘Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.’ This was Job’s regular custom.
Job (biblical figure) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopaedia
This article is about the Judeo-Christian Biblical figure. For the other Job figures, see Job (disambiguation).
Job is the central character of the Book of Job in the Bible. In the Book of Job he is presented as a family man who lives a good
and prosperous life, but is eventually beset with horrendous disasters that take away all he has, including his family, his health,
and his property. Job struggles to understand his situation and begins a long search for the right path that will get him out of his
extremely difficult situation. Against all odds, with God's help, Job is restored to a semblance of his earlier existence.
If the Book of Job reaches across two and a half millennia to teach anything to men and women who consider themselves
normal, decent human beings, it is this: Human beings are sure to wander in ignorance and to fall into error, and it is better —
more righteous in the eyes of God — for them to react by questioning rather than accepting. Confronted with inexplicable
injustice, it is better to be irate than resigned.
Book of Job
Main article: Book of Job
The Book of Job begins with an introduction to Job's character—he is described as a blessed man who lives righteously. God's
praise of Job prompts Satan to challenge Job's integrity, suggesting that Job serves God simply because he protects him. God
removes Job's protection, allowing Satan to take his wealth, his children, and his physical health (but not his life) in order to
3
tempt Job to curse God. Despite his difficult circumstances, he does not curse God, but rather curses the day of his birth. And
although he protests his plight and pleads for an explanation, he stops short of accusing God of injustice.
Most of the book consists of conversations between Job and his three friends concerning Job's condition and its possible
reasons, after which God responds to Job and his friends, opening his speech with the famous words, "Brace yourself like a
man; I will question you, and you shall answer me." After God's reply, Job is overwhelmed and says, "I am unworthy – how can I
reply to you? I put my hand over my mouth."
Many interpretations read this as Job's realizing how little he knew when he says to the Lord, "My ears had heard of you, but
now my eyes have seen you."[5]
Other scholars and readers, however, find this explanation unsatisfactory, since the problem of
Job (the innocent man suffering at the hand of Satan) is not addressed. Job's response to God shows none of the anger,
passion, or piety he demonstrated in the rest of the story, even when God does not give Job the direct answer he has demanded
for much of the book. Then Job is restored to an even better condition than his former wealthy state. Job was also blessed to
have seven sons, and three daughters named Jemimah (which means "dove"), Keziah ("cinnamon"), and Keren-happuch ("horn
of eye-makeup"). His daughters were said to be the most beautiful women in the land. "Job went on to live one hundred and
forty years, and saw his children and grandchildren for four generations.
The characters in the Book of Job consist of Job, his wife, his friends, a man named Elihu, God, and Satan. Neither the
patriarchs nor any other biblical characters make an appearance.

REACTIONARY PRESENTATION
Saturday morning and afternoon, 14th September, 2013
Ephesians 4 New International Version - UK (NIVUK)
Unity and maturity in the body of Christ
4 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have
received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in
love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you
were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
7 But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. 8 This is why it[a] says:
‘When he ascended on high,
he took many captives and gave gifts to his people.
9 (What does ‘he ascended’ mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions[c]? 10 He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the
heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.) 11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of
service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole
measure of the fullness of Christ.
14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their
deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in
every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds
itself up in love, as each part does its work.
2 Timothy 4 New International Version - UK (NIVUK)
4 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead,
and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 2 preach the word;
be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage – with great patience and careful instruction. 3 For the time will come when people will not put up
with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather round them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn
their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 5 But you, keep your head in all
6
situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of
your ministry.
CONCEPTIONS FOR GROWTH IN THE CHURCH
“IN SUCH A TIME AS THIS”
1. The Hospital Ministries If possible, appoint persons who are medically inclined to supervise regular visits
to the hospitals and conduct religious services in it's chapels. (Some degree of training might be necessary
The adaptation of a ward will enhance the acceptability of the congregation and
the Pastoral Ministry.
Arrangements can also be made with private clinics and hospital for pastoral or ministerial counseling or other religious services.
One must be mindful of the laws governing your area of ministry.
2. Prophecy Troops Divide the youth and children (ages 5 - 19) by company simular to the
organizational structure of the Boy's and Girl's Scots.
Prophecy flag or logo colours, emblems and other paraphernalia can be use to enhance the quality and quantity of Prophecy Troops.
The are an excellent resource on Sundays, revivals, retreats, crusades,
conventions, etc, duly assisting with parking, wheel chairs, distributions, and other practical ways to secure the safety and operational usages of the congregation.
A set of guidelines can be given to you by requesting from
[email protected] or [email protected].
3. Financial conferences
Retain experts on finances: banker, planners, etc. to make frequent presentations on investment, savings, acquisitions, loans, mortgages, insurances, college
funding, etc.
These conferences raise the bar on the excellence and financial endeavors of the congregation both imminently and futuristically.
These conferences also bring a cronic awareness of the importance of financial
integrity to the family, church and community.
7
A significant factor is the awareness of savings as outline by this simple saving

4. DEATH WATCH, COMMUNION, WAKES AND FUNERALS
As Senior Pastor for The Church of God of Prophecy in Seven Hills in the city of Nassau in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas for the past twenty six years, I
have, by the grace of God, conducted, say:
a) Water baptism 250
b) Added to the church 620
c) Infants christened 325
d) Marriages performed 250
e) Funerals 230
f) Court ordered counseling 100
The presenter will give more specific information relative the aforementioned inthe
section.
5. Fifty (50%) of the membership and sixty (60%) of the tithes and offerings came from ministering to the families relative funerals,
christenings and weddings in the community. One your church and ministry has been known and established as community minded and
focused, the rest is history.
6. DIVIDE AND CONQUOR MACKINNISMS
A congregation of a faithful 125 is now ready for a mission under its auspices and financing. A prominent family who is faithful in spirituality, attendance and
tithing's should be considered to head the mission
7. RADIO AND TELEVISION
Although an excellent source for the proliferation of the Gospel, edited radio and television programmes can have catastrophic consequences if abnormally are
consequently revealed.
FINANCIAL CONCEPTS
Be the congregations missioned or established, the questions of its financial structure is most important, that is the receptions of offerings and tithes.
Financial statements
Financial statements should be presented quarterly, semi annually or yearly. An example is herewith listed below:

financial statement.
EFFECTIVE MEN’S MINISTRIES I have chosen this to be a special section with the intent to have Men’s Ministries rival or be equal to the process and development of Women’s Ministries and to afford equal
time and treatment for Men’s Ministries in Convention, revivals, funds raising and total development in the congregations.
In my work and ministry that the Lord has given to me, I have involved and seek the
performance of a strong Men’s Ministris in:
1. The cleaning and beautification of the church’s premises 2. The interior and exterior repairs and painting of the sanctuary
12
3. The spiritual reformation, entrepreneurship, social development, career planting,
distribution, family welfare, education, mental development, plus, plus of men who are in prison and late teen age boys in similar institutions.
4. Allocation of the 4th Sunday for male maturational sermon and presentations 5. The raising of funds to fund the ministry and supplement the tithe account.
6. To become armor bearers to the Pastorate in difficult areas of the community
BULLETIN, EMAILS AND WEBSITES
Irrespective of the size of the congregations, see that the following is operational:
1. Internet facilities throughout the church building including Youth and Children’s Ministries
2. The printing of a bulletin for Sunday Services inclusive of all information.
See the Seven Hills bulletin below although not in its fullest presentation.

Mark 9 17-18 A man out of the crowd answered, “Teacher, I brought my mute son, made speechless by a demon, to you. Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He
foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and goes stiff as a board. I told your disciples, hoping they could deliver him, but they couldn’t.” 19-20 Jesus said, “What a generation! No
sense of God! How many times do I have to go over these things? How much longer do I have to put up with this? Bring the boy here.” They brought him. When the demon saw
Jesus, it threw the boy into a seizure, causing him to writhe on the ground and foam at the mouth. 21-22 He asked the boy’s father, “How long has this been going on?” “Ever
since he was a little boy. Many times it pitches him into fire or the river to do away with him. If you can do anything, do it. Have a heart and help us!” 23 Jesus said, “If? There
are no ‘ifs’ among believers. Anything can happen.” 24 No sooner were the words out of his mouth than the father cried, “Then I believe. Help me with my doubts!” 25-27 Seeing
that the crowd was forming fast, Jesus gave the vile spirit its marching orders: “Dumb and deaf spirit, I command you—Out of him, and stay out!” Screaming, and with much
thrashing about, it left. The boy was pale as a corpse, so people started saying, “He’s
dead.” But Jesus, taking his hand, raised him. The boy stood up. 28 After arriving back home, his disciples cornered Jesus and asked, “Why couldn’t we throw the demon out?” 29 He answered, “There is no way to get rid of this kind of demon except by prayer.”

Life does not consist in an abundance of possessions 14 Jesus replied, ‘Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you?’ 15 Then he said to them, ‘Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not

straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14 If
what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved – even though only as one escaping through
the flames.
