Editorial Dear Brothers/Sisters, I am very happy to inform you that it had been decided to take out “Swastik” bulletin (quarterly) to appraise the members donors/subscribers/sponsors about the activities undertaken by various branches of Red Swastik Society. The Governing Council expresses a great satisfaction towards the positive direction by some of the branches with the dynamic leadership, however, some of the branches need to take little more initiative to activate them. We must not forget that we are pursuing twofold tasks. One is to promote the oriental symbol “Swastik” in health sector at the International level and another is to reach out the needy and neglected class of the society. We expect the zeal and dedication to pursue and achieve the above tasks. You would agree that many of our members have tremendous potentials and some of them are the institutions in themselves individually, such potentials can be explored for the growth of the organization and to make a better world around us. Each of the leader of the organisation shall try to use their experience and acquaintances while pursuing the social work under this banner. We express, sincere gratitude to the inchange of branches, those who have done commendable work during the critical situation may it be deluge in Mumbai - adjoining districts, and various parts of Maharashtra, namely Sangli, Kolhapur, Nanded Parbhani, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar in July and August 2005. We also express, sincere gratitude to those organizations and doners who have supported the cause while handling above emergencies. The present issue is bearing information from January 2005 to August 2005. You are requested to put forward your opinions/suggestions for the improvement of the organisation and its services to the needy.
