17 July , 2011 Abib 10, 1727 For offenses must come (Matthew 18:7) Offenses are an obstacle that diverts us from the right direction, or keeps us back by being in the way, or provides the means for making us fall. The pain of offenses was so deep; but God in His grace and love drew us unto Himself and took all our afflictions to join to His infirmities on the cross… “A brother offended is harder to win than a strong city.” (Proverbs 18:19) Offenses most certainly can endanger our salvation, though, depending on how we react to the perceived offenses. We have to nurture a relationship with the Lord on a daily basis, and not allow it to degenerate through a lack of care. If we are devoting our lives to God, we will be able to meet offenses with the love, hope and peace… “We implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.” (2 Corinthians 5:20) We may become offended when we are blamed for something we did not do. We may be offended when someone has been inconsiderate or thoughtless us. We may get offended when someone rejects us, when we are ignored, overlooked and when there is gross unfairness. Yet the real offense is when we are rejected by God, as Cain was when his sacrifice was rejected. "For we all stumble in many things." (James 3:2) The offended persons may see things that are absolutely untrue. They are so convinced that God has told and shown them to do this or that, no suggestions or counsel can turn them away from it. Offenses refer primarily to some act which lead another into sin. We have to give offenses no place and walk in the spirit of love and forgiveness… “A wicked messenger falls into trouble, but a faithful ambassador brings health.” (Proverbs 13:17) The offended persons may produce much fruit, such as anger, jealousy, Strife, bitterness, hatred, and envy. We cannot fix anybody else; we can only be responsible for ourselves. So our focus is more internal than the other. We must deal with the offenses before we can truly be loyal to the Lord. And if we are the offending party, we must not just ask for forgiveness, but also repent… “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil.” (Isaiah 5:20) ١٧٢٧ ١٠ يب أب١٧ يو ل يو٢٠١١ ) ١٨ : ٧ ( ... ... ... . ... Abib 10, 1727

For offenses must come (Matthew 18:7)

Offenses are an obstacle that diverts us from the right direction, or keeps us back by being in the way, or provides the means for making us fall. The pain of offenses was so deep; but God in His grace and love drew us unto Himself and took all our afflictions to join to His infirmities on the cross… “A brother offended is harder to win

than a strong city.” (Proverbs 18:19)

Offenses most certainly can endanger our salvation, though, depending on how we react to the perceived offenses. We have to nurture a relationship with the Lord on a daily basis, and not allow it to degenerate through a lack of care. If we are devoting our lives to God, we will be able to meet offenses with the love, hope and peace… “We

implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.” (2 Corinthians 5:20)

We may become offended when we are blamed for something we did not do. We may be offended when someone has been inconsiderate or thoughtless us. We may get offended when someone rejects us, when we are ignored, overlooked and when there is gross unfairness. Yet the real offense is when we are rejected by God, as Cain was when his sacrifice was rejected. "For we all stumble in many things." (James 3:2)

The offended persons may see things that are absolutely untrue. They are so convinced that God has told and shown them to do this or that, no suggestions or counsel can turn them away from it. Offenses refer primarily to some act which lead another into sin. We have to give offenses no place and walk in the spirit of love and forgiveness… “A

wicked messenger falls into trouble, but a faithful ambassador

brings health.” (Proverbs 13:17)

The offended persons may produce much fruit, such as anger, jealousy, Strife, bitterness, hatred, and envy. We cannot fix anybody else; we can only be responsible for ourselves. So our focus is more internal than the other. We must deal with the offenses before we can truly be loyal to the Lord. And if we are the offending party, we must not just ask for forgiveness, but also repent… “Woe to those who call evil

good and good evil.” (Isaiah 5:20)
