Our After-school Adventure Program offers your child a variety ofchoices for creative, fun and stimulating activities in a safe and nur-turing environment. Our amazing facility offers features not found inother after-school programs. Your child will enjoy weekly Shabbat cel-ebrations, special holiday programs and amazing activities thatenhance and teach many skills.

In addition to all the activities included in the program, your childalso has the opportunity to enroll in a variety of enrichment classes—staying busy every afternoon without having to leave our campus. We

also provide trans-portation to selectHebrew schools forchildren enrolledin our program(for a one-timeyearly fuel sur-charge of $35).Snacks are includ-ed in our fees.

Private school parents please note: The After-school Adventure Program follows the Broward County public school calendar, whichmay differ slightly from your school’s schedule, so we ask that youplease make arrangements accordingly. Due to scheduling differencesbetween the public schools and the David Posnack Hebrew DaySchool, the DPJCC charges DPHDS parents a one-time fee of $55 tocover services when the DPHDS is open and Broward County schoolsare closed. After-School Rules• Use appropriate language at all times.• Cooperate with staff and follow directions.• Respect other students and staff, equipment, facilities and yourself.• Maintain a positive attitude. • Stay in program and instructional areas. Leaving these areas for any reason is not acceptable.

After-School Discipline PolicyWe believe in our children and their inherent goodness, however, in order to maintain a fun and enjoyable expe-rience for all groups, we have a graduated discipline policy:1) Staff will verbally remind children of rules and standards of behavior. 2) Staff will give a verbal reminder and “thinking” time out.3) Staff will give a stronger verbal reminder and additional “thinking” time out.4) Child will be taken to administrators, who will call and notify parent of child’s behavior.5) Parent will be asked to pick up child.6) If child finds it too difficult to modify his/her behavior after these steps, child will be sent home for two days.7) Persistent negative behavior and unwillingness to improve will result in discharge of child from the program.

We do have a zero tolerance policy for foul language, hitting or striking another child or staff in any manner. For these offenses the student usually goes directly to #4. If action is a recurring problem, student will godirectly to #5 and #6.

Possession of or use of weapons of any kind or use of or possession of any illegal substance will result in imme-diate graduation to #5, and depending upon the severity of the offense could move the student directly to #7.

There is no refund as a result of disciplinary actions.

I have read and understand the above discipline policy and agree to adhere to the rules.
