PARISH EVENTS IN OUR PARISH & ELSEWHERE
Thank You from Father Melvin I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your prayers and the many of you by way of Christmas cards and gifts. Your presence of greetings and support means a lot to any priest or deacon. I will make my personal thanks known as well in meeting you, and I want to in-clude the Knights of Columbus Council, Women’s Club and the Altar Society in their generous response. Our par-ish lives by participation and the activity of faith lives in the heart of its parishioners. In God’s care to you person-ally and our organizations. Gift Bearers At Mass Have you or your family wanted to be a gift bearer at Mass? There are sign up sheets available for Masses for the month of February on the table for any family that would like to be a gift bearer at Mass. The sign up sheets are in a white binder. Thank you for serving our parish family. Pastoral Council Meeting The Pastoral Council and Finance Council will meet on Tuesday, January 28th at 7:00 pm in the PAC. If you have anything you would like discussed at the meeting please contact Adrien Drouilhet or Father Melvin. Altar Society Meeting St. Mary’s Altar Society will meet Sunday, February 2nd, in the day chapel after the 10:00 o'clock Mass. Plans for all the upcoming events for the year will be discussed. All ladies of the parish are invited. KC BBQ The Caldwell Knights of Columbus will be selling BBQ chicken plates, to go only, on Sunday, February 2nd, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the KC kitchen. Plate in-cludes one half BBQ chicken, twice baked potatoes, green beans, pickle and onions. Cost is $10.00 per plate. Catholic Men’s Conference 2020 Central Texas Fellowship of Catholic Men’s Con-ference is taking place on Saturday, February 8th from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm at the Travis County Expo Center in Austin. Tickets are available at www.centexcatholic.com. Speakers this year are: Dr. Edward Sri, Fr. Ken Geraci and Curtis Martin and the theme is “ Go Make Disciples.” Czech Mass - Vítame Vás na Corn Hill: In February we celebrate the Feast Day of Sts. Cyril and Methodius, patron saints of the Czech Republic and patron saint of Slavic peoples. In honor of these saints a Czech Mass will be celebrated on, Sunday, February 16, at 5:00 pm, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Corn Hill. All pray-ers, readings and hymns will be in the Czech language. Af-ter Mass, a Dinner will be served in the Parish Activity Cen-ter. Everyone is welcome to come and celebrate this special feast day of Sts. Cyril and Methodius.
Parish Mission at St. Anthony Church, Bryan February 3, 4 & 5, 2020 From 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Preacher: Fr. Jim Sichko Join us on February 3rd, 4th, and 5th (Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday) from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at St. Anthony Church, Bryan, for "60 Minutes For Jesus" for Scripture, Storytelling, Laughter and Praise in the church. (Fr. Jim will be preaching at all the Masses on the Weekend of February 1st and 2nd). Fr. Jim Sichko is an acclaimed international and enter-taining preacher and author from the Diocese of Lexing-ton, Kentucky. Pope Francis commissioned him as one of his Papal Missionaries of Mercy, of which there are only 1,000 in the world, 100 in the United States. Fr. Jim uses real lives experiences and ties those experiences into the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. His talk, "60 Minutes for Jesus" is geared for all in a family household. ALL ARE WELCOME!!!

2020 Masses There are still several days open for Masses in 2020. To book a Mass, stop by the parish office or contact Tasha at [email protected] or 979-567-3667 to schedule Masses. The or-dinary stipend for a Mass intention is $5 per day and is subject to be changed due to Father’s schedule. Altar Server Training If your child would like to be an Altar Server there will be two training dates offered, Sunday, January 26th and Sun-day, February 2nd following the 10:00 am Masses. Class will be in the church. Contact the parish office if you have any questions.
