PARISH EVENTS IN OUR PARISH & ELSEWHERE

Encountering Christ Capital Campaign The Encountering Christ campaign is an effort to build a vibrant and secure future for the Diocese of Austin! St. Mary has had a positive response and great success so far – thank you to all who have partici-pated! 30% of the funds raised will come back to directly benefit our parish. We will use these funds to upgrade the parish rectory, which is currently falling apart with issues such as cracked sheetrock, warped floors and a bug infestation. St. Mary is in a great spot right now with 56% of goal; however, this is only from 5% of our parishioners. Please join us for refreshments in the PAC after all English Masses next weekend to hear more about the needs of the campaign and get your questions answered. Second collection The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has called for a special collection to aid the victims of disasters in 2018. We will have a second collection at all the Masses on this weekend for this purpose. Thank you for your generosity. World Mission Sunday Next weekend, October 20th and 21st, World Mission Sunday, we are called to be part of the Church’s missionary efforts, supporting mission priests, religious Sisters and Brothers, and lay catechists who provide loving service to those most in need. As Catholics around the world — here at home and in the Missions — gather at the Eucharist around the table of the Lord, let us... Pray for the Church’s world-wide missionary work offer financial help through The Society for the propagation of faith for vulnerable communities throughout Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Pacific Islands Gift Shop A limited supply of Christmas Advent wreaths, candles, and Holy Family displays are available now in the parish gift shop. Orders can also be placed for Advent wreaths through November 4, 2018, so stop in to pick up an order form. The gift shop has many new and beautiful religious items for all ages for those special occasions - baptisms, birthdays, First Holy Communion, Confirmation, etc. Please come in to say "Hi" to our gift shop helpers, Beverly, Cindy, or Amanda and keep the gift shop in mind when you need that special gift!
