Information Needed If you are envelope #67 please contact the parish office, 567-3667. We are needing some more in-formation from you. Thank you! Hail damage The hail storm that hit Caldwell last Sunday has caused serious damage to the roofs of St. Mary’s Church, parish hall and rectory. The skylight of the church is broken. The inspector from the in-surance company said that all the roofs will need to be replaced. While the cost of replacing the roofs and the skylight should be covered by insur-ance, the parish is responsible for a $2,500 de-ductible. This is a major process. Please pray that everything goes well and consider making a con-tribution to help the need of the parish with this expense. Ashes to Easter Boxes Please return your Ashes to Easter boxes. Thank you for your generous donations to support mis-sionary and charity works in the Diocese of Aus-tin. KJT Family Day KJT District VIII will hold its annual Family Day Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Bowers Lake, near Caldwell, with festivities beginning at 1:00 pm. We will have fishing and horseshoes for fun activities. We will also have a short district meet-ing. Bait will be available and drinks will be fur-nished. Bring a desert and a meal will be provided and served at 4:00 pm. The district wants every-one to come out and enjoy themselves. Guests are welcome. Attention Seniors: Scholarship opportunities are now available. Please review the infor-mation below regarding applications and dead-lines. If you have questions please contact the office or your school counselor. KJT Scholarship The St. Benedict KJT Society 100 will again be sponsoring scholarship opportunities to St. Mary's and Holy Rosary parishioners who are graduating seniors and will be attending a university, college,

or technical school during the next school year. Applications can be found on the back table of the church or with the Caldwell High School counse-lor. Please see the application for details. The submission deadline is Friday, April 13, 2018. Knights of Columbus Scholarship Knights of Columbus Council #6366 is offering scholarships for any 2018graduating senior who is a member of St. Mary’s or Holy Rosary Catho-lic Church. Applications are available on the table at the back of the church. They are also on CISD web page and can be obtained from the High School counselor, at Caldwell High School. Total Consecration Rosary and Mass In Fatima, Our Lady said, "My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the way that will lead you to God." On this 70-Year Anniversary of our Di-ocese, please join thousands of Faithful through-out our Diocese to collectively make or renew our “Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary” at a special Holy Mass on the Annunciation of the Lord. Rosary and Mass will be offered on Mon-day, April 9th at 6:30 pm at Saint Thomas Aqui-nas Church, in Extraordinary Form, College Sta-tion. Please visit us online for more information at TexasToJesusThroughMary.org. Morning of Reflection The Ladies of Regnum Christi BCS invite you to a Morning of Reflection on April 20 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm at St Joseph's Church PAC in Bry-an, TX. The topic Reflecting the Love of Christ to Those Around Me features inspiring talks by a layperson and Legionary priest Fr. Eamonn Shelly. Sacraments of Confession and Mass will be offered. Hosted by Ladies of Regnum Christi BCS. The Return of Easter The return of Easter should be to the Christian life the call of a trumpet. It is the news of a great vic-tory. It is the solution of a great perplexity. It is the assurance of a great triumph. —Frederick Temple

IN OUR PARISH

Proclaim the Risen Christ On Easter morning everything—the spring weather, the flowers, birds and butterflies, the people around us in their finery, the beautiful lit-urgy and music—everything seems to bear wit-ness that Jesus Christ is risen today! Like the eye-witness accounts in today’s scriptures, the glori-ous and joyful life all around us helps us to be-lieve the good news of the Resurrection and sing “Alleluia!” In the scriptures today we hear from Peter and Paul and John. All three speak with conviction about witnessing the resurrected Christ. John’s Gospel account includes Mary of Magdala, who also was privileged to witness the Resurrection and tell others the good news. On this glorious Easter Sunday can we ourselves give eyewitness accounts that Jesus Christ is risen today, alive and active in our lives? Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co., Inc.
