Gillian is an equine anatomist, biomechanist, BHS Senior Coach, professional Sports and Remedial Therapist and author with a first class honours degree in Equine Science and Business Management. Gillian is passionate about horses and anatomy and sharing all she knows for the good of the horse. She specialises in assessing pos-ture and movement, devising exercises for improving performance and educating horse owners. She is well known for her anatomical painting on live horses which she uses for her teaching.

Gillian has ridden and competed up to Advanced level British Eventing. Noteable events include: winning and best rider under 25 rider at Gatcombe in 2007, representing GB at Necarne CCI** in 2004. Ridden Team Chasing, British Dressage and British Showjump-ing. Riding for Great Britain at the Student Rider’s Nations Cup in Aus-tria 2004 and Canada 2006 where she achieved Individual Gold for dressage. Gillian currently owns 2 horses including the legend Freddie Fox and Artistic Flair, a youngster which she has started and is begin-ning to event.

With a bubbly, engaging presentation style, a deep knowledge, a passion for anatomy and biomechanics and with the welfare and comfort of the horse in mind, she gives lectures all over the world to riders, therapists, saddlers, farriers, vet schools, artists in fact anyone keen to learn more about horse anatomy or biomechanics or who is looking to ride and train succesfully in harmony.

Prerequisites: All participants must provide proof of professional equine therapy qualification and current professional indemnity insurance. Familiarity with and an understanding of the movement and the superficial muscles of the horse is useful for this course.
