žLeBY chateau
The original Gothic castle of the noble family of Lichtenburg,
dating from before the year 1289 and rebuilt after destruction
by the Hussites some time before the mid-15th century, was greatly
altered in the Renaissance and then Baroque styles; its current
romantic form is the work of Karel Vincenc Auersperg between
1849 and 1868 in the English style. The interiors combine original
historic pieces with 19th-century furnishings imported from abroad.

žLeBY game park
Around 20 km from Kutná Hora, at the edge of the manor park
of Žleby there is an open-air animal park created in 1998 to depict
the history of falconry and present the park’s traditional white deer,
birds of prey and owls. Visitors to the park can see not only
common European birds of prey (elf owls, long-eared owls, great
horned owls, common falcons, European buzzards, marsh harriers)
as well as extremely rare species (peregrine falcons, saker falcons,
white-headed vultures or African vultures). Display flights of trained
falcons and hawks allow visitors a close view of these impressive
birds. The park also contains a herd of white deer, which you may
watch during their feeding. Other animals that you might see
include wild pigs, mouflon sheep, roe-deer and wild turkeys. Water
birds include storks, grey herons, great cormorants and swans.

italian court
This ancient complex of buildings originally served as the royal mint. In the early 15th century, it became a favourite residence of King Václav (Wenceslaus) IV, who ordered the construction of the splendid ceremonial and private rooms along with the tower and chapel, where he placed the treasures of the crown. As a royal palace, the Italian Court played host to many of the diplomatic negotiations and official proclamations of Václav IV, among them the Kutná Hora decree of 1409. The present appearance of the building is the result of a neo-Gothic reconstruction from the 19th century.

czech museum of silver - hrÁdek palace
This originally Gothic town palace, complete with courtyard and tower, was built sometime before 1420 by one of the court master builders. Known locally as “Hrádek” (Little Castle), it now houses a museum depicting the history of Kutná Hora from its earliest beginning up until the time when it was the second most important city in the kingdom of Bohemia. The museum also gives an overview of the process of coinage, from silver ore to the striking of the coins, and children over the age of 7 may also visit the original medieval silver mine.
