Students can wear the colours of their favourite football team. F O L L O W US! St Paul’s Primary School, Coburg MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL It has been wonderful to have all of the children back onsite again. There has been a real buzz around the school as it has come to life with smiling faces and laughter, it is easy to forget that we are still going through a challenging time in our world right now. On Monday morning I was privileged to be out on duty greeting children as they arrived at school, nerves soon disappeared, as they entered their classroom and reconnected with their teachers and friends. Our children certainly displayed positivity, resilience and determination. The manner in which the children returned, you would never have guessed they had just returned to school after being away 15 weeks. They are truly an inspiration. Parents should feel extremely proud of how well they have adapted. As adults, we certainly can learn a lot from our children this year. The return to school wouldn’t have been a success without the wonderful support and commitment from all members of the St Paul’s community. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the parents for their ongoing support in preparing their children to return to face to face learning. I did notice some very happy parents as they dropped off their children, I made a ‘Principal’s call’ and gave every parent the day off! Parents you have done an amazing job during this time of online learning you were not only the parents but the teacher. How, lucky were the children to have their their own parents supporting their learning. I would also like to thank the St Paul’s staff for ensuring that the transition from home to school was seamless and that the focus was on their wellbeing We are extremely lucky to have such a dedicated staff working closely together for our children. MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPALIt has been wonderful to have all of the children back onsite again.

100 days of school take 2! Today we got to celebrate our 100th day of school in person, HOORAY!

We spent the day completing different 100 themed activities in literacy and numeracy, making 100 inspired food and partying together. Our favourite part was dressing up as 100 year olds and dancing.

Have a look below at all of the amazing things we did together.

We made ‘100’ cookies using a biscuit, icing, freckles and a musk

stick. They were delicious!

We played lots of fun math games about the number 100!

We got some very special treats today to celebrate, our very own 100 days of school

cookie! Thank you to Andrea (@sweetasandrea) for

making these for us!

Looks like teaching online for 4 months has made some of our teachers age!

Our SMART Spelling word of the week was ‘beach’. We got to take home our very own beach in a cup! We also ate some tasty icy

poles.

Children were so excited to be at school and see their friends this week. It was beautiful to have the classrooms come alive with their chatter and laughter.Children participated in many fun activities. One activity involved working as as team to stack cups using only an elastic band and string. The library was visited where Mrs Angela assisted the children to borrow new and exciting books. It has been a wonderful week.

The Seniors also enjoyed spending some social

time in small groups. We prefer talking to our friends face to face

instead of on a screen.
