Shastri Football Club

Established in year 1966, the “Shastri Football Club” is

created in memories of Late Indian Prime Minister Late

Sh. Lal Bahadur Shastri. At Shastri Football club,

popularly known as SFC, the passion for football can be

seen very clearly. The most striking attribute of the club is

that the talent is recruited from all over the country, which

brings in a great diversity to the club.

“Football is becoming a trend setter these days with the

presence of more and more enthusiasts.”

Tornado Football Academy is the official academy of Shastri Football Club.The Academy offers young players with an opportunity to develop, learn new techniques and skills, all under the guidance of our coaching staff. Our coaches are serious enough to make the academy as one of the top academy in the nation and are always on the lookout for the players who will help us to reach there. The academy provides academic facilities and licensed coaching to our football players along with professional exposure and vocational training to develop their potential to the fullest. The academy includes residential and non residential facilities

History of Shastri Football Club

At the early stages of the club, only junior players were allowed to take part. But later on, Shamir Hassan came up as a professional football player in the year 1974 and gave a new direction to the club. It was only when the Shastri Football Club got associated with the Delhi Football Association. The club has shown immense development in the previous years and there are lot of activities which are planned for growth of players.

Establishment of “Shastri Football Club” is done in the memories of former Indian Prime Minister Late Sh. Lal Bahadur Shastri in the year 1967. The objective of this club was to spread rules and principles of Shastri Ji and to make young people become fine Indian.

History of Shastri Football Club

Aside from Delhi, club took part in Nazibabad and Nagina tournament in 1975 and finished Runner up.

In the same year, the club took part in All India level tournaments held in Jaipur, Gorakhpur, Maharashtra (Pusud) and Dehradun and earned goodwill at National level.

SFC got his first success in the year 1978 when we won the Maharana Pratap Gold Cup.

In the year 1979-80, Shastri Club spread their glory in All India Level Tournament held in Madhya Pradesh.

History of Shastri Football Club

We made history by defeating Savioury Rayn, which is one of the best teams of country and we booked a place in semi-final in the Gold Cup held at Jabalpur.

In the year 1983, Shastri Football Club finished runner-up in Uttrakhand tournament.

By repeating our participation in 4 out of 5 important football tournaments (DCM, Durand, Rovers and Federation cup) we have made history in the game of football.

SFC aims to reach the National level in the next five years.
