Mission StatementGLK’s mission is to establish a culinary center designed with the intent to conduct educational cooking classes. The learning environment will reflect a traditional classroom set up with the capacity for hands-on instruction as well as demonstration style sessions.

The objective of the School is to provide an atmosphere where individuals of all ages will learn how cooking can influence their lives in a positive way. The class sessions will engage participants to explore cooking with excitement and curiosity.

The ability to cook competently is central to managing a healthy lifestyle and an educational format in which each participant gets to learn-by-doing is a tried-and-true approach to teach and build confidence while establishing an enduring appreciation for the art of cooking.

Look Who’s Coming to GLK Errol JosephErrol Joseph has become a mainstay in the South Shore restaurant scene, as he has spent the better part of the last seventeen years welcoming guests South of Boston. Errol has been the Wine Director at Tosca Restaurant in Hingham since 2001, and prior was the Maitre d’ at The Barker Tavern in Scituate. Additionally, Errol offers Private Sommelier Services to the public in the areas of Boston, Southeastern Massachusetts and The Islands.

Chef Anna BironAnna Biron has been a chef in Southeastern Massachusetts for many years. Besides being the Executive Chef of Chez Vous, her own catering business, she has helmed the kitchens of several area restaurants as well as two elder care facilities. For the past ten years she has served as the Executive Chef and Food Service Manager for the elegant and private Daggett Crandall Newcomb Home in Norton, MA. Anna has also taught many cooking classes for people of all ages with themes ranging from Harry Potter to Under the Tuscan Sun!

Adam CentamoreAdam Centamore works and teaches at Formaggio Kitchen in Cambridge, a world-renowned cheese shop featuring artisan cheeses, charcuterie, and condiments from Europe and the United States. He conducts private and corporate culinary experiences, with the goal of sharing the pure enjoyment of food and wine. Academically, Adam in pursuing a Master’s Degree in Gastronomy from Boston University with a concentration in wine studies at the Elizabeth Bishop Wine Program. He is an active member of the French Wine Society, and the Chevaliers du Tastevin, and has worked with the Society of Wine Educators and American Cheese Society. Adam enjoys eating, drinking, and talking about it!

Chef Alison DemadisAlison Demadis has an array of culinary and nutrition experience spanning from Chef at Canyon Ranch Spa to her catering company in Connecticut. She works with the Department of Defense as a Food Technologist and Nutrition Specialist creating recipes and doing nutritional analysis for the Armed Forces.
