Council members will split into two groups (Appendix C) – Group A will remain in M01 Stocking; Group B will move to the Conference Center

Permits should be picked up at the Information Kiosk on Tower Rd when you arrive. Directions to Info Booth: Stocking Hall GPS address is 411 Tower Rd. ‐ From Route 366/Dryden Rd., you will turn right onto Tower Rd. ‐ Stay straight on Tower Rd. ‐ Drive past Stocking Hall ‐ Turn right into the Info Booth driveway (approx. 100 ft. past Stocking Hall) The Info. Booth attendant will direct you to the correct parking lot.

Ice Breaker and Advising Session – Conference Center 3:30-3:45: student led icebreaker 3:45-4:45: Q&A - to maximize the number of questions students have the opportunity to ask, please limit responses to each answer to 2-3 Advisory Council members (i.e. not every Council member should answer every question) Some general questions to be discussed during Thursday and Friday advising sessions: 1. What does the advisory council recommend students do outside the classroom to prepare for working in the
industry? 2. What are some tips to maximize the benefits of attending career fairs and info sessions? 3. What is the value that companies see in students joining extracurricular clubs like Food Science Club and Creme de
Cornell? 4. Is there anything that generally separates Cornell food science students from other food science students? 5. Do you have advice for research-based applicants for applying for an industry position, and vice versa? 6.
