  • project overview

Lucozade and Ribena, which were owned by Beecham prior to its merger with SmithKline, date back to 1927 and the 1930s respectively.

They have been produced at the Coleford plant since 1947 and previously bottles had been manufactured and supplied by an external supplier.

GSK invested 70m on developing an in-house bottle-blowing and moulding operation unit at the plant for Ribena and Lucozade. Known as Project Everest, sprinkler protection to the building was insisted upon by FM Global.

GSK continue their goal for a fully sprinkler protected site, which has resulted in further fire protection packages being awarded to Alpine direct from GSK.
