Wat er Bat h Canning- Learn to can high-acid foods such as fruit, salsa, pickles, tomatoes, jams, & jellies.
Pressure Canning- Learn to pressure can low-acid foods such as vegetables and meats. Includes free pressure canner dial gauge test ($10 value). Bring your canner lid or just the dial gauge.
Pick ling- Learn to make and safely water bath can pickles, relishes, salsa, and chutney.
Ferm ent ing: Sauerkraut - Learn the science of preparing and storing sauerkraut and fermented vegetables safely.
Where: Gunnison Count y Fairgrounds
When: 5:30-8:30 PM
Cost : $20/class or $70 for all four
Includes: Research-based inst ruct ion, lab-t est ed recipes, and one canned good per class.
