Water Bath Canning- Learn to can high-acid foods such as fruit, salsa, pickles, tomatoes, jams, & jellies. Pressure Canning- Learn to pressure can low-acid foods such as vegetables and meats. Includes free pressure canner dial gauge test ($10 value). Bring your canner lid or just the dial gauge. Pickling- Learn to make and safely water bath can pickles, relishes, salsa, and chutney. Fermenting: Sauerkraut- Learn the science of preparing and storing sauerkraut and fermented vegetables safely. Where: Gunnison County Fairgrounds When: 5:30-8:30 PM Cost: $20/class or $70 for all four Includes: Research-based instruction, lab-tested recipes, and one canned good per class.
