Biological pre-treatmentThe previously cleaned water in the sludge trap isaerated in the drainage tank with the membraneaerator and the polluted particles are biologically (aerobically) broken down by existing micro-orga-nisms. The biological process is supportedthrough a time controlled circulation of pollutedwater through the drainage tank and sludge trap.

Polluted water filtering and recycled water storageThe submersible pump forces level-controlled thepre-cleaned polluted water over the quartz-gravelfilter into the recycled water storage tank.The quartz-gravel filter is passed through from thetop to the bottom, so that the dirt particles can bedeposited on the filter gravel. In this way, only filtered recycling water flows in the recycled watertank.

Filter cleaning When dirty, the quartz-gravel filter must be cleanedby means of a back-rinse process. This processsucceeds within approx. 7 minutes fully-automaticand time controlled. During this process, the washunit is fed with the water stored in the recycledwater tank. With the Fontis 30 the containers canbe rinsed alternately ( one container is alwaysactive).

Recycled water tank The recycled water is aerated in the storage tankby means of a membrane and is additionally circulated over the entire cycle. Increased oxygenentry and circulation prevent the anaerobicfermentation, which otherwise create unpleasantodours.

Salt content measurementThe salt content in the water ismeasured by means ofelectric conductivity. Shouldthe adjustable limiting valuebe exceeded by increased saltcontent, then the salt content isreduced by adding fresh water.
