Introduction

The slides to follow each show a clip of the folkloric dance tradition. There are many more traditions that pertain to each region, each with their subtleties and uniqueness. What is presented here are just a few of the main traditions to give a sampling of the vast cultural richness of Brazil.

Capoeira and candomblé are not included here, as they will be presented by other members of this group.

Afoxê - a type of religious music, part of the Candomblé tradition.
