FORT SESFONTEIN LODGE & SAFARIS Picture from 1962 Lodge. Fort Sesfontein has been reestablished authentically even to details from the ruines of a historical Fort built in 1896. However, the demand for modern facilities according to today’s standards has been fulfilled. Fort Sesfontein is an oasis in the Namibian wilderness. The exposed position of the Fort between Damaraland and Kaokoveld allows day trips to discover one of the last untouched landscapes. Profile • Accomodation: 44 beds in double rooms and family units • Bar, restaurant, barbecue, pool • Petrol and diesel station • Landing strip for aircraft • Guided day and half-day trips • 355 days sunshine per year • Rain yield factor only 100 mm on average per year Arrival Sesfontein is situated in the north western part of Namibia. The distance to Windhoek is approx. 600 km. It can be reached by car on gravel roads in good conditions, for example from Kamanjab (233 km) on C40/C43 in approx. 3.5 hours.
