1. IMS Clients connect and authenticate at theIMS.
2. An IMS client sends a SIP INVITE messageto the Hot Line Service, e.g:sip:[email protected]
3. This INVITE is routed to the converged SIP AS. The AS can rely on the securityinfrastructure of the IMS.
4. The converged SIP AS generates apersonalized link for the IMS Client.
1. If unknown by CLI „ register Page“
2. If known by CLI „ personal Profile Page“
5. This Link is sent back to the IMS Client bySIP INFO.
6. The IMS Client uti lizes his „ Helper Appl icat ion“ to open the links (StandardBrowser).
7. The Client can perform click to dial orbrowse the website.

IMS benchmark testing – Why
- creation of objective means to compare IMS performance/price
- performance benchmark for IMS control plane (SIP signaling)
– System under Test (SuT)
• configuration (currently: IMS core systems with x-CSCF for signaling and HSSemulation for data base)
• IMS components with extensions for benchmark support (as x-CSCF - SER is
used)
– Test system
• defines test parameters, presents system’s load and measures the SuTperformance
– Abstract Benchmark Test Suite (TTCN-3) – deployment of tests (executables) with TTMex
• based on SIP test suites in TTCN3
• currently: scenarios for registration and call setup
• simulates UE to create the load

From PTT to Community-Support based on IMS
• PoC/PTT basically defines a specif ic service based on genericenablers (Presence, GLMS/XDMS, FOTA)
• In fact PoC/PTT could be regarded as a specific instantiation of agroup communication framework
• Making money with PoC/PTT is unclear
• Making money with SMS and voice calls is clear
• Idea: – Reuse PoC/PTT enablers for other communication services as well
Integrated Presence driven IM, email, SMS, MMS, VoIP, CS-Calls,Video calls, etc.
– Provide group communication to those who really need it
well established Communities (Sports, Work, health, fun) wil lappreciate this!

IMS is a perfect basis for eCommunity services
• IMS is today considered as thecommon platform for FMC and NGNs
• A convergent community-service canideally be based on the IMS platformgranting:
– convergence and compatibili tybetween fixed/mobile networks
– multi-media and convergedservices support
– providing key community serviceenablers, such as
• Group Management• Presence
• IM / PoC
• generic VoIP/MMoIP support,
etc.
