THIS IS A MESSAGE FOR THE CUSTODIAN OF RECORDS. This is a request for open records under Missouri's Sunshine Law, pursuant to rSMO Chapter 610. I respectfully request the following records: 1. Any Sunshine Law requests filed for the video or images that all egedly show Michael Brown committing a ‘strong-arm robbery’ on August 9 2014; and 2. Any Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests filed for the video or images that allegedly show Michael Brown committing a ‘strong-arm robbery’ on August 9 2014. I request that the records be copied and sent to me at the following address: Aaron Malin 3604 Churchill Dr Columbia, MO 65201 If any part of this request is denied, please list specific exemptions upon which you rely for each denial. If any portions of the requested records are closed, please segregate the closed portions and provide me with the rest of the records. This request must "be acted upon as soon as possible, but in no event later than the end of the third business day following the date the request is received" (rSMO 610.023.3). The Ferguson Police Chief claimed the video allegedly showing Michael Brown stealing cigars from a convenience store was released because "we got a lot of Freedom of Information requests for this tape (the Mike Brown robbery video)."I have obtained from Ferguson PD "Any Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests filed for the video or images that allegedly show Michael Brown committing a ‘strong-arm robbery’ on August 9 2014."There are no requests for that tape prior to its release by the Ferguson Police Department.
