The use of historical, institutional, economic, and managerial paradigms to analyze and understand the various issues and concepts will be employed in this course of study. In addition, students will be exposed to the study of foreign exchange markets, exchange rate determination, balance of payments, international parity conditions, managing foreign exchange risks and exposure, and optimal policy tools to manage the international financial environment. COURSE OBJECTIVES: On completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Apprai se the international financial environment and the fac tors associated with foreign exchange rate determination. 2. Compute a nd e xplain with examples knowle dge o f fore ign e xchan ge terminology, balance of payments etc. 3. Categ orize and measure the various forms of financial instruments available for foreign exchange risk management. 4. Prov ide an in-de pth un derst anding of the proc ess and techn iques used to make international investment decisions.
